Staff Transition: A Note From Chris
Dear Students and Families of MIPC,

As many of you know there have been many changes in my life through the blessing of the newest addition of my daughter to our family. Throughout these changes I have been in prayer and in conversation with many here at MIPC and have come to the incredibly difficult decision to leave my position at MIPC at the end of April (April 29th).

I am incredibly grateful and feel blessed by the time I have had with you all. This is a decision that does not come easy to me. I hope that my remaining time at MIPC involves quality time with students and families as we prepare for the changes ahead.

This community and especially the students have meant the world to me over the 5+ years I have been honored to serve here. I am grateful for your friendship and inspired by your faith and your trust in God. I thank you all for your trust that God is doing something through the changes at MIPC and also the changes in my own life.

Something that has been at the core of my faith is when I pray The Lord's Prayer, especially the part that says: "on earth as it is in heaven" I realize that I am asking God for extraordinary peace and joy. I also realize that when we pray this, we are claiming to take a part in the work that creates this heavenly earth, believing that God can't do this work while we sit idly by watching. This heavenly work requires our involvement and trust. I have experienced and tasted heaven on earth from you all during my time here, and I hope you all continue to show heaven on earth to the next youth director here at MIPC.

As I prepare to leave in the coming months please join me in prayer for the hope of what is to come, as we all put our trust in God and participate in the work God is doing.

As always, don't hesitate to email or call me with any questions you may have.

Many Blessings,

Christofer McLaughlin
Director of Student Ministries

We are grateful for the time Chris has had at MIPC and thankful for his faithful service. There will be a time to celebrate Chris on April 29th after the 5pm Service. More details to come.
Mission Opportunities
YouthCare Asks for your Help
The Jackson Street program is asking for twin sheets for their shelter.
If you would like to bring some in, please put them in the YouthCare box outside the front office.

Mexico Scholarships
Thanks to all of you who gave your second year scholarship to children in Mexico. If you haven't paid your $350 commitment, please send it in when you are able. As always, thank you for your generosity.

Leschi Sends Their Thanks
As some of you may be aware, MIPC has an ongoing mission project with Leschi Elementary. Located 6 miles from MIPC, Leschi has between 60-100 homeless children enrolled each school year. With your help, MIPC has donated funds for after-school programs, contributed food, clothing, school supplies and household items to Leschi students and their families. This school year, there are 11 MIPC volunteer tutors in place. Missions would like to extend our gratitude to you all, and on behalf of the children, families, and staff at Leschi, we extend their appreciation for all of your ongoing support and kindness.
