Net Generation Tennis in Schools  -
We need you!  Share your love of tennis with kids ...

Net Generation is a new and exciting USTA program designed to encourage kids to challenge themselves by learning at their own speed. This community based program is aimed at introducing tennis to kids ages 5-18 of all abilities in local communities throughout the country. The programs are designed to be affordable, inclusive and learn-rally-and- play focused.

We are going to be introducing tennis to elementary school aged children during After School programming and we would love your help!

If you have some free time and want to teach kids tennis with fun, easy, interactive drills that ANYONE can teach, please sign up in one or more time slots.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED!

Fridays from 5:15 p.m. - 6:45 p.m.  at the new Huntersville Recreation Center.

This is a 6 week program for kids new to tennis. The sessions are Friday, February 2nd through March 9th from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. We need on court volunteers to help with each class.

We will take anyone that can help with 1 class up to all remaining classes.

Volunteers would help keep each small group organized and on track to  participate in each drill. There is a tennis pro leading each session.

Help us introduce tennis to a new generation!

Attention Class of 2018!

Once again, LNTA is pleased to announce the opportunity for Lake Norman area tennis-playing seniors to apply for one of   three (3) $1,000 scholarships. Two of these awards will be presented by LNTA, with the third award presented on behalf of the Mark  Friday Memorial Scholarship.

The seniors selected for these awards could be playing on a school team, in tournaments or USTA Junior Team Tennis. LNTA is not seeking the best tennis players in the area to receive these scholarships, but for students who actively participate in competitive tennis and community activities in the Lake Norman area. A scholarship selection committee is formed each year to review the applications and select the recipients. If interested in volunteering to serve on this committee, please contact Amy Brandon at  ctc@lnta.org.
