VolunteerVolunteer Needs

Survey Volunteers Needed

We're looking for volunteers who speak Spanish, Arabic, Amharic, Russian or Vietnamese to help with our client surveys next month. We'll be conducting the surveys at Nelson Street March 5 - March 10 and then at our 17 other distribution sites from March 12-March 24. Our greatest need is for Spanish speakers who are available during the work week, even if it is just for an hour. You do not need to be fluent, but comfortable enough to carry a conversation. If you're available, please go to the online calendar and find a shift that works for your schedule.

Social Worker Hours Check-in Volunteer Wanted

We offer social workers and health care aides the opportunity to shop for their clients on Tuesday-Thursday from 12:45-2:15 pm at AFAC. We need a volunteer who can help them make their selections. Ideally, we'd like to find someone who can commit weekly on one of the days. These shifts are on our online calendar. We encourage volunteers to try it once or twice before making the commitment.

Morning Helper Openings

If you have a regular weekday morning free (even every other week), please consider being a morning helper. The shift is from  9:15 am to 12:30 pm and you will support the morning distribution team by helping restock, sort through produce and other food donations, and maybe help bag items. Please go to the online calendar to see specific openings.
