THE FIRST SUNDAY IN LENT
Gentle Reader,
Of all the Bible stories, there are few more recognized than Noah and the Ark.  It decorates children's walls and lives in songs, cinema and comedy routines.  But there is more to this story than animals and Hickory bark.  It's a story of grief, a story of sin, a story of abandonment and redemption, and a fresh start sealed by a rainbow.  Come and hear Noah's story with adult ears, and consider how this ancient  mariner's life speaks to yours.
It may just change your life!

Do you love music?  Would you enjoy helping to shape the experience of  Sunday morning Worship?

Then Hymn Pickers may be for you!  Hymn Pickers is a worship team that meets quarterly to select hymns and liturgy for the  8:30 worship service.

In order to keep the team diverse and energetic, each year we rotate one or two folks off and add new members to replace them.  This year we are looking for one (1) new member to join us in hymn and liturgy selection for the 2018-2019 school year. Passion for Jesus, music and worship are required.  Ability to read music is not. :-)

If you are interested contact Pastor Grant.

ANOTHER UPDATE:  If you have Simply Giving, or are considering changing to bill pay, please choose the option to send a paper check directly to the church rather than the direct deposit option. We recommend this option to avoid the reoccurring fees that go with Simply Giving.  Ask your banker to simply send a check from your account that matches your giving level and time frame.  No need to ask for our bank information, as your bank sends the check and we deposit.  If you are on Simply Giving and you choose this new method, you must go into your Simply Giving account and stop payments, after you have your new banking method set up.  Thank you for considering this new option and FOR SAVING MONEY FOR THE CHURCH!

Hi ladies,

We still need models for our Spring Fashion Show, April 14th.

You get to model new clothes from Christopher & Banks (and get a great discount if you wish to keep them) ... nice!

Please look for the sign-up in the narthex or contact Darlene Petrey with questions 651-462-5019.
"For our 150th Anniversary year, we want to purposefully measure the difference we make in our world.
We want to celebrate all the lives we touch in big and small ways.  And we are asking you to count those blessings and get your numbers to the church council each month.

Our ministries should be focused on the good that we do for people-- in our congregation and outside of our congregation."    Shirley Zierke
