Strive to be more
Dear Parents,

Today marks the beginning of our mutual journey through the Lenten season.  This morning, all the students attended Ash Wednesday services and received Ashes.  During these next 40 days we are asked to pray, fast, and give. One way to give is to participate in the food drive to fill the Christ House pantry sponsored by the STM Student Council in partnership with the STM Knights of Columbus. All canned goods and non-perishable foods will be transported tomorrow morning, so please bring in your last-minute contributions to be added to the food truck.
Finally, we invite you to join us every Friday at 2pm in the Cathedral to pray the Stations of the Cross.

God bless,

Eleanor McCormack

STM USED UNIFORM SALE--THIS THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 15!

Do you like bargains?  Then you must stop by the Used Uniform sale being held in the STM Cafeteria this Thursday, February 15, from 7:30am to 9:30am.  Check out the large collection of gently used school uniforms and purchase that "next size up" for your child to use during these next 4 months.

Have you seen your child's Rice Bowl?
Every Lenten season, St. Thomas More Cathedral School partners with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) through their Rice Bowl program.  A CRS cardboard box is sent home as a tangible reminder to remember others in need of food, shelter, support, and prayers. We ask students to remember these needs by donating a portion of any allowance or chore monies they may receive into the Rice Bowl box.  All Rice Bowls will be collected at the last school Mass before Easter and funds received will be donated to Catholic Relief Services.
STM WOMEN'S COUNCIL  IS  ONCE AGAIN HOSTING  MEATLESS LENTEN
SUPP ERS!!

Each Friday during Lent, the Women's Council serves a delicious meatless meal in Burke Hall from 5:30-7:30pm.  This is an excellent opportunity to have dinner with friends and family. Dinners finish in plenty of time for all of us to attend the Stations of the Cross at 7:30pm in the Cathedral.  This Friday we are serving baked potatoes. Suppers will continue each Friday in Lent until Friday, March 23, 2018. The food is provided by the Women's Council.  Dinners are free - however, donations are accepted!
SEND IN YOUR BOX TOPS BY FRIDAY!

Be sure to send in your "Box Tops for Education" by this Friday, February 16, to help your child's class compete in our winter collection contest! Just put your collected Box Tops in a Ziploc-type bag marked with your child's classroom number or teacher's name, to make sure your student's class gets credit in the contest. Then, send that in via backpack mail, or drop off at the school office. It's that simple! Please do a double-check to ensure each Box Top isn't expired--only valid ones count. The winning classroom gets a choice between a Dress Down Day pass or a Donuts-in-Class Party. To learn more about what to clip, visit www.BTFE.com/earn. Thanks, everyone, for clipping Box Tops for this school fundraiser!
