AESA Annual Conference
December 2-5, 2015 - New Orleans, LA

Haven't decided whether to attend as of yet? Here are five good reasons to do so:

1. This is the only national conference that is exclusively designed for Educational Service Agencies.
2. Outstanding Speakers - Thursday - Brandon Busteed, Executive Director, Gallup Education; Friday - Dana Mortenson, Co-Founder and Executive Director - World Savvy; Saturday - John Almarode, Author of Captivate, Activate & Invigorate the Student Brain in Science and Math, Grades 6-12 , published by Corwin Press.
3.  Over 100 Breakout Sessions - This is a great opportunity to learn about the programs and services that your colleagues in the 500+ ESAs across the country offer to the school districts they serve. The four strands are: College and Career Readiness, ESA Board Leadership, Open, and STEM.
4.  Networking - You will have the opportunity to meet ESA folks from across the country, share experiences and learn from one another. Whether it is over the lunch table, at the networking breakfast or at the two receptions, you will have the chance to greet old friends and make new ones. By the way, AESA provides all breakfast and noon time meals as part of the registration fee.
5.  Fun - New Orleans is a great city for a conference with lots of excellent restaurants for your evening meals and, of course, music all around you. Continue the fun at the AESA Foundation's Annual Auction on Thursday afternoon. A great selection of items will include a photographic Safari in Africa and a vacation week in a beautiful home on Kiawah Island in South Carolina. So join the over 500 ESA staff and board members who have already registered! Please see the  Conference Brochure  and  register online now!

FREE Mini-EdCamp to Follow NAMTC Leadership Summit!

NAMTC is hosting a FREE mini-EdCamp on Wednesday, December 2nd from 1:00-3:00 right at the Hyatt Regency! The EdCamp will allow educators from across the United States to learn from and with each other in an "un-conference". We have invited some New Orleans educators and Maker groups to join us. The EdCamp experience will provide the opportunity to participate in some hands-on learning activities, Collaborative Conversations and a Technology Smack Down to share some favorite tech tools! If you are arriving early for AESA, please plan on joining us and remember to bring your enthusiasm, some creative ideas to share, and be willing to participate in some fun and innovative activities that will ignite your curiosity and creativity! No registration is required, just plan to drop in and join a group or activity that sparks your interest.

Member Request for Information - (Actually two of them)
1.  We currently use a product for online registration called Cvent in registering participants. We are looking for a new registration system that might not be as cumbersome to use and modify events. We are also looking for a system that has the electronic signature component. If anyone would have a recommendation, please have them submit the name of the company  to this address.

2.  Would any of the ESAs that do superintendent searches be willing to share any information or processes? We are looking at doing superintendent searches and anything you have would be helpful.   Submit information here.
