LAKE ERIE PERCH FISH FRY
Please join us beginning this Friday, February 16, for the Sandusky Central Catholic School Fish Fry. This year's Fish Frys are at a new location - Holy Angels Parish Hall, 428 Tiffin Avenue in Sandusky from 5:00pm-8:00pm. We would like to give a sincere "Thank You" to the Sciarappa family for hosting the past SCCS Fish Frys! Students receive a "real life experience" in entrepreneurship and operating a restaurant, with proceeds directly benefiting the school through tuition assistance, teacher compensation, athletics, capital improvements, and student services including academics, technology, the arts, and music. The SCCS Fish Fry runs Fridays during Lent; February 16, 23, and March 2,9,16 and 23. Hope to see you there!

IMPORTANT PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
If you are a current SCCS family with an incoming preschool student for the 2018-2019 school year, please submit the enrollment forms and fee as soon as possible to secure a spot. SCCS EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP SHOOTOUT
Join us on Saturday, February 17, during halftime of the SMCC Boys' Varsity basketball game for the SCCS Education Foundation Scholarship Shootout. Ashley Huntley and Gretchen Heilman were randomly chosen from applicants to participate in the shootout.   The students will have 30 seconds to shoot free throws, with the winner taking home $200 in cash and second place receiving $100. The Foundation is pleased to award over $100,000 in scholarships this year. Good luck at the Shootout Ashley and Gretchen!


PANCAKE BREAKFAST AND BAKE SALE
The SMCC Sophomore Class is hosting a Pancake Breakfast and Bake Sale during Open House on Sunday, February 25, from 9:00am-1:00pm. Tickets for the breakfast are $5 and children 4 years old and younger are FREE. Meal includes pancakes, sausage and coffee, milk, orange juice or water.
 
PANTHER BASEBALL CLUB SIGN UP
On Sunday, February 18, there will be sign-ups for students in grades 3-8 who wish to play baseball this summer. The meeting is from 12:00pm-2:00pm in the SCCS cafeteria. Registration forms will also be available in the office for grades 7 and 8, and sent home with students in grades 3-6. Cost is $75.
 
MANDATORY SUMMER WEEK OFF FOR ATHLETICS
This summer, the week of July 1-July 7 will be the mandatory week off for all SCCS/SMCC athletic teams.

PRESCHOOL - GRADE 8 YEARBOOK ORDER FORMS  
Order forms for the preschool through grade 8 Yearbooks are available at the Main Entrance or in the Main Office for grades 6-8. Preschool-grade 5 order forms were sent home with students. Yearbooks are $25 and the deadline to order is February 22, 2018.

EDCHOICE SCHOLARSHIP RENEWALS
Any family who is currently receiving the EdChoice Scholarship should have received the renewal paperwork in the mail. If you have not received your renewal forms, or have questions about applying for the income- based scholarship, please contact Mrs. Snow at [email protected] or 419-626-1892, ext. 311. The first application deadline is April 30, 2018.

 
MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL SCHOOL NEWS
 
SUMMER EUROPE TRIP MEETING
This Monday, February 12, there will be a meeting for parents and students attending the trip to Europe this summer. Please meet in the Language Lab at 7:00pm.
 
MANDATORY SENIOR PARENT MEETING
There will be a senior parent meeting on Wednesday, February 28 at 6:00pm in the PPC. Senior projects will be introduced and discussed. Following the senior project meeting, there will be a meeting at 7:00pm for all parents who have students attending the trip to NYC. R&E Tours will be present to go over last minute trip details. All parents are required to attend.
