When hearts are trump, it's not just about a card game. In the real world we live in, it's about  making love happen. Real, dependable love.

Valentine's Day is a delightful prompt for making love happen in colorful and visible ways. Kids exchange valentines. Florists flourish. Candy flies off the shelves. Cupid aims at unsuspecting hearts. Jewelers celebrate. People call the family and friends they miss. Amore!

But what about the daily triumphs of love given and received that can happen for our kids,
when moms and dads and grandmas and grandpas, and aunts and uncles, and teachers and coaches,  and landlords and shopkeepers, and neighbors and friends - the "whole village" - show up to provide  that ordinary magic of adult-child relationships that nurture hope and joy and resilience in our kids?

There's an art to all this. Who among us who has ever loved a child doesn't know how powerful  those relationships can be. Particularly for kids who could use an extra boost.

Please join us to hear more about how we - all of us, together - can provide that boost, that  love that trumps adversity for our kids.

Come to the third in our Great Expectations Speaker Series. Dr. Ann Masten will share findings  from research and best practice of ways families, schools and communities can provide that ordinary  magic for our kids. See details below.
