On the day after a National Holiday celebrating a famous African American organizer, and the day after the day after the home team posted a miraculous victory, we in Minnesota face a new day revived.

I invite you to take a look in the mirror and see if you see some traces of the vision our nonviolent activist elders dared to believe in, or if you see the possible miracles that might help our own communities stake a chance toward unbelievable wins.

Believe it or not, we still need both, from all sides.

This week, vote for Businesses of the Year, reserve your place at the table for our annual meeting, and heed the call from two high school student editors of the The Mirror. Yes, after taking a look in your own, consider theirs.

And consider this: wherever you look, you can imagine your colleagues on the East Side standing beside you. Where we stand together, we're making visible our own Minnesota miracle.

Purchase an ad spot with this year's publication to help them raise the money to raise the bar. They are poised to become nationally recognized. Now that would be another great asset for the East Side!
