Hello, GISH PICKS: CURATED CULTURE FOR KIDS & ADULTS reader!

I need your help supporting my community service.

Money can be a taboo subject for those of us who give back to our communities.  It seems tacky to be asking for it - after all, aren't we volunteers for the greater good? But it often takes money to keep doing what we love to do and to improve the world around us.  This is why I'm asking for you to invest in my work.

I have been producing my GISH PICKS blog since 2004 as a free service for Houston and the surrounding areas.  I have scoured high and low to bring you information on unique activities for families and adults -- as well as the latest news on products, services, and nonprofits that I think would be of interest to you. However, this free service is not free for me to produce. My graphic designer, my researchers, and I happily create it week after week, but I need to ask for your help in keeping it going.  I will do this  once a year only -- I hope this won't cause you to unsubscribe and I also hope this won't offend you. Instead, I am hoping that you'll simply feel moved to help.
