Prayer Requests
 - For J1 Cafe and each student that will come to Virginia Beach this summer, as well as for employers, sponsors and volunteers!

- For our school partnerships - for more student mentors, dynamic relationships with school staff and parents, dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers.

-For the staff, families and city personnel who are grieving the loss of their beloved Assistant Principal, LaDawn Durant of Norview Middle School.

Help International Students Learn English Through Adult Learning Classes

Looking to reach out to international people and help transition to life here?  Join other Grace members in volunteering in Virginia Beach Adult Learning Center's  English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Classrooms.  Hours are flexible with daytime and evening classes available.

Contact Kathy Luehman at [email protected] for more information.

**There is a critical need for volunteers with teaching or reading literacy experience to help staff a weekly reading literacy book club.
Young Life Virginia Beach

Arellana Bacon got involved in Tallwood Young Life during her mom's deployment. She [and her brother] came to know Christ personally at Lake Champion last summer.

This year she returned her old school in Richmond (Thomas Dale HS) and in January she started a Campaigners group! 21 students showed up last week!

Please pray for these kids and their efforts to reach out to their fellow classmates with the Love of God through Jesus Christ!

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve,  and to give his life as a ransom for many.

New Family Oriented Project!
We will be making Blessing Bags that you can give to the homeless you meet.  We will fill bags with eats and drinks and other good things, as well as cards that kids can complete and put in.  We will do this at both the Lynnhaven and Norfolk campus.  If you haven't been to Serve the City before, this will be a great project to start with!

School Partnerships

Today we celebrated over 400 staff members at 5 elementary school campuses for Valentine's Day! 9 Grace volunteers showed up bright and early with eager hands and beautiful smiles to serve coffee and hot chocolate. We love our school partnerships! We look forward to more small group opportunities to show how grace changes lives. We hope you'll be joining us for the next ones!
