On 5 February 2018, we launched our new CEBC website. Our relaunched website contains lots of useful information and resources for renewable energy organisations in the MENA region, including:
Member organisations are able to share their projects, news and events via our website for free. If you have something you would like to share, please email this through to [email protected] .

In addition, CEBC Members can also access an exclusive Members Only area. This area contains:
  • A private forum
  • The ability for members to submit job listings and event listings (for free)
  • Videos and Presentations
  • Discount codes; and
  • Special offers.
As we have a number of members to add, you can expect your login to be emailed to you over the next few weeks. An email will arrive in your inbox which will give you the opportunity to change your password. Information on using the Member's Only area can be downloaded here.

UAE'S MASDAR AND ECA TO COLLABORATE ON SAUDI PROJECTS
The Economic Cities Authority (ECA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Masdar aiming to cooperate on projects and services that can be provided in the Saudi economic cities. 
Talking about the agreement,  Mohanud A. Helal, secretary general of ECA, said: "This MoU will definitely support ECA and Masdar in achieving their goals by cooperating in a number of vital fields that are essential to the future of the national economy."  [Read More]


DIGITALIZATION COULD PROVIDE $38B IN BENEFITS TO ENERGY INDUSTRY 
The potential benefits of digitalization are addressed in the latest 
Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) Short. BNEF analyzed seven sectors and predicts annual benefits will rise from $17 billion in 2017 to $38 billion in 2025. More mature technologies like smart meters and modernizing power plants show the biggest pay-off initially, but services to provide flexibility to the grid and leverage residential energy loads grow fastest.  [Read More]

ACWA WINS SAUDI ARABIA'S 300MW SOLAR TENDER
REPDO has announced that the Saudi energy group, ACWA Power, is the final winner of the 300 MW solar tender it launched in February.  ACWA had been shortlisted along with a consortium formed by Japanese trading company Marubeni Corp., Khaled Ahmed Juffali Energy & Utilities Limited and Axia Power Holdings BV for the final phase of the tender in early January.  REPDO said that ACWA will now have to sign the 25- year PPA for the 300 MW project with the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) on February 7.   [Read More]
