As 2017 comes to a close, we would like to take a moment to express sincere thanks and appreciation to all the North Jersey Health Collaborative (NJHC) partners and supporters. Many hands have contributed to our collective efforts this year. Building new relationships and alliances, developing and implementing new ideas and strategies, and sharing information, resources, and opportunities for learning, NJHC partners are making strides toward the Collaborative's shared vision of healthy communities ~ healthy people.  


Highlights from 2017 
  • More than 100 partner organizations and 22 Funding Partners participating in the NJHC.
  • Received national BUILD Health Challenge Award - Forward, Franklin.
  • Horizon Foundation Grant "Morris County Diabetes Intervention Pilot" is underway
  • Morristown United for Healthy Living Coalition enters third year - see recent New Jersey Health Iniatiative grantee blog here.
  • Workgroups across the Collaborative implemented strategies and began tracking and reporting shared metrics for the first time.
  • Offered five professional development opportunities to build partner capacity.
  • Surveyed and gathered insight from workgroup leads on how to enhance our workgroup processes (access summary report).  In response to this survey, a Process Implementation Committee has been established. 
  • Began the next phase of the Community Health Needs Assessment and preparing to launch our first Community Voice Survey.

Gearing up for 2018

In preparation for the next phase of the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA), check out the new data resources on our website. Click on your county below for links to the demographic profile and secondary data analysis. 

Mark your calendar for the upcoming county committee meetings to learn more about the 2019 CHNA timeline, and how your organization can participate in our first Community Voice Survey.  An email with more details about the survey will be sent after the holidays. 

Morris County: Jan 11th (9:00 AM - 11:00 PM - New Time*)
Passaic County: Jan 30th (9:00 AM - 11:00 AM)    
Sussex County:  Jan 18th (12:00 - 2:00 PM) 
Union County: Jan 10th (2:00 - 4:00 PM)
Warren County: Feb 1st (10:00 - 12:00 noon)
