The 11th Annual Walk to End Homelessness is Sunday, April 22. Festivities kick off at noon on Golden Street in downtown New London.
Business Sponsorships
The Walk provides important support for programs that give people the tools they need to get back on their feet quickly.
Last year, it raised more than $26,000, mostly through sponsorships and donations pledged to individual walkers.
Sponsoring the Walk demonstrates your business' or organization's commitment to the local community. You can reach a new audience (last year there were 500+ walkers), and also support a terrific cause.
Sponsorships start at $350, but gifts at all levels are welcome. More information is at www.nlhhc.org/sponsorthewalk.
This year, nine scholars are volunteering weekly at the shelter, as well as playing a key part in planning and implementing the Walk on April 22. The Walk raises awareness about homelessness and also raises money to support the Homeless Hospitality Center.

Volunteers Recognized for Extraordinary Contributions
Every year more than 100 people from across southeastern Connecticut volunteer at our shelter and thrift store. Hundreds of others help with special projects.
We couldn't operate without them. On Feb. 1, we celebrated their hard work, unfailing persistence and cheerful spirit with a reception at the
Custom House Maritime Museum in New London.
Paula Hardy, our volunteer coordinator, gave each person a custom-made HHC lapel pin. Executive director Cathy Zall provided an update on operations and a personal thank-you.
