Digital Rochester and PMI Rochester Connecting Rochester's Agile Community
Developing a Community of Practice (CoP) for Project & Program Managers
Rochester, NY - Digital Rochester and PMI Rochester are bringing the Rochester Agile community together in this networking mixer and CoP* (Communities of Practice) session. The event will take place at The Century Club on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. This event will give the agile community an opportunity to network with one another over learning games designed to aid individuals in their personal AGILE journeys.
 
David Sherburne, Executive IT Director, Carestream Health Inc. and Paula Haefner, Senior Project Manager / Agile Scrum Master, PM-H BAQA Solutions will discuss the topic of AGILE, why it is important in business, and share tools for practical AGILE implementation. To reinforce the presented concepts and get participants mingling, Abhilash Chandran, Application Development Manager, Xerox will lead games and activities.
 
*What are CoPs?
Communities of Practices (CoPs) are informal meetings, webinars, and events designed to bring people together to explore a topic of interest. Specifically, this group will explore topics that interest Project and Program Management practitioners.
 
Agenda:
5:30-6:15 p.m.: Registration and Networking (appetizers with cash bar)
6:15-6:25 p.m.: Opening words from Digital Rochester and PMI ROC, Intro to CoP Topic and CoP leadership
6:25-7:30 p.m.: Presentation, break-outs, retrospective
7:30-8:15 p.m.: Wrap up, coffee, desserts
