FEBRUARY 2018

Greetings!

A letter recently arrived at the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities with a small donation.  It was written by a past Humanitarian Award recipient who retired to another state many years ago.  He wanted VCIC's board and staff to know how much his past affiliation with our organization meant to him, and how inspired he is by our mission and work in this polarized and divided climate.

The letter closed with these remarkable words:

"Continue to make a difference, and to stand up in this unbelievable time of bias, prejudice, discrimination, and hatred.
We deserve better than this.

We ARE better than this.

And VCIC is one of the shining lights that helps us prove those words are true."

Thanks to his support and the partnership of thousands of Virginians, the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities will continue to be a shining light that stands up to bias, prejudice, discrimination, and hatred.

This update includes details about upcoming VCIC programs, as well as many local and national resources.  Please let us know how VCIC can partner with you.  Contact our office by phone at (804) 515-7950 or by emailing Jessica Hawthorne (Director of Programs) or Marcos Martinez (Educational Programs Coordinator).

We look forward to working with you!
