Miss Widner's News

Dear Parents, Students, Grandparents, and Staff,
What a beautiful day it was spending time with the 4th grade as we walked around downtown Fort Wayne! We "fell in love" with Fort Wayne all over again. We ate lunch at Coney Island (one of my favorite restaurants!) and saw so much history of our city. Thanks so Mrs. Darling and Mrs. Kleber for a wonderful day! Also, our 8th grade had a great day giving back to the community by working at Community Harvest Food Bank today. What a wonderful way to "pay it forward!"
If you have a pet that you want blessed, be sure to bring them on Thursday, October 4th at 2:15 to the school. This is the Feast of St. Francis, and Deacon Jim will be blessing all the animals! Bring your beloved pets to the front of school for a blessing! After the blessing, you can take your children home!
As a reminder, please come to the church on Friday at 2:15 for the Living Rosary sponsored by Student Council. Everyone is welcome to pray this beautiful prayer.
Good luck to our 5th grade girls' volleyball team who play in the CYO tournament tonight at 5:30 PM at Queen of Angels. They are playing against St. Charles. When they win, they will play in the championship on Sunday, October 7 at 1:00 at Queen of Angels. Good luck, Lady Pioneers!!

Have a great week,
Miss Widner
Principal

We'll have contests and prizes for the kids all week! A preview flyer is coming home in hardcopy today, with an
optional wish list attached.

Special Event!

Attendees can also enter to win a special prize! Hopefully students take home a new book from the fair to become a new favorite!

We need help and volunteers to help make this year's Book Fair a success!  Please follow the link and help when you can.

We are so blessed to have the help of so many that came together to make this new playground possible.  A special thanks to Schenkel Construction on their dedication of time and effort to installing our new equipment.  Thank you to Hipskind Concrete who donated man-power to remove our old playset.  Our wonderful SNL 2018 Fund-A-Need Donors who made it possible to purchase this equipment.  Finally to the following who donated time on Saturday to spread wood chips and sand:  David Walenga, The Rice Family, Jenna & Kayla Smith, Tommy Poiry, Karen & Larry Festa, Isaac & Caleb Nicholson, Amanda & Alex Brzozowski, Colin Campbell, Rob Slocum and
Ben & Colin Shively.  We are truly grateful to everyone who made this playground possible.  Once again, THANK YOU!
