Congratulations to Bart Lucas on his ordination last month!
Bart joins our team of overseers at HCC which includes, Jerry Kingery, Jack Post, Tom Fentress, Jim Fraizer, Bob Padgett, Sidney Bbrock and Brian Williams.
Our overseers are an appointed council that serve as spiritual intercessors, discerners, guardians, and protectors. They help to evaluate the effectiveness of the organization's mission, the use of resources, adherence to sound Bible doctrine.

Beyond The Walls
God has blessed Beyond the Walls with an abundance of food to start 2018! Thank you to the following local businesses, clubs, and organizations, as well as all of the individuals who provided food to fill our shelves.

NextGen Student Ministry
Happy New Year everyone. Hope 2018 finds you blessed and in expectation this year. We are gearing up for a busy time in NextGen and are asking for your prayers and support as we go through this time of year. On January 19th and 20th, we will be joining five other youth groups in the area for a Winter Retreat. This is a great opportunity for our students to experience Worship and Discipleship with other students and understand that their community extends past these walls on a Wednesday night. The cost per student is $15.00.
During the last weekend in January, we will be having our Men's Retreat. Our 7th grade and higher young men are welcome to join the men this year. Our students will recognize our speaker this year. Landon Dowden was our pastor at Camp this year and our students loved him. The cost for the retreat for the young men will be $60.00. That Sunday night we will have a free event for all of our students and other youth groups in the areas called Merge. This will be a high energy, high discipleship event where Landon will bring a message specifically for our youth.
On February 9th, we will have our 3rd Annual Valentine's Gala. This is always our biggest fundraiser for the year. Tickets will be $25.00 per person and this is a time you don't want to miss. More details to follow. Thank you again everyone for your continued prayers. God Bless!!!

There is no better way to begin 2018 than with a church wide emphasis on Prayer. On Sunday, December 31st I will kick off a month long emphasis on prayer with the first sermon. In addition, to accentuate our prayer emphasis, we are giving out, 31 Days Of Prayer booklets to guide us during the month of prayer. If you still haven't gotten your FREE booklet, you can pick one up at Guest Central on Sunday morning.
