'Warm' and 'Toasty' at The Animal Haven
It was dark, cold, and rainy when a man arrived home from work to find a surprise outside his front door.

"I heard a high-pitched meowing, and Inara (my cat) jumped up on the windowsill to investigate," he told us. "I looked outside and saw a kitten near the bottom of the steps."

By the time the man threw on his coat and ran outside, the kitten had disappeared. But the kitten could still be heard.

Hearing the commotion and cries, the man's neighbors were now peering out their window and shouted that the kitten was under a nearby parked car.

The man grabbed his flashlight, and he and a neighbor pulled the kitten out from its hiding place in the wheel well. And with the help of a second neighbor, a second kitten was found hiding behind a dumpster.

The two kittens were taken in for the night and later brought to The Animal Haven, where they are sheltered from the bitter cold, receiving food, medical attention and loving care.

PLEASE donate below to help keep our doors open. With the freezing cold weather and our shelter undergoing renovations, your tax-deductible dollars are needed now more than ever.

Thank you for your loyal support this year.

Best wishes for a happy and heathy New Year!!
