Board and Committee meeting dates have been finalized for 2018. The South Park II Committee will no longer meet, and the  Operations and Enhanced Beautification Committee (SOBO) will now be known as the Planning & Infrastructure Committee. Click here for the full schedule.

Earlier this year we launched South Park Stories, an initiative designed to showcase the people and personalities in South Park. South Park Stories are now on Medium, and we want to share your stories! Check out the blog, and submit your own story ideas.

Clean & Safe Service Changes

 

If you live, work, or have property in South Park II, there will be some changes to your services when the BIDs combine on January 1. Streetplus will continue to provide safety services, and the Los Angeles Conservation Corps will provide clean services. To learn more or submit a service request, click here.

South Park Spotlights

We've been working to put South Park on the Metro map. The Metro Board is set to hear a proposal to rename Pico Station "L.A. LIVE / South Park" on January 10, 2018. Click here to support this effort. 

We sat down with  Kelcey Fisher , the first Artist-in-Residence at  OLiVE DTLA , to talk about his first four months in OLiVE's six-month Artist-in-Residence program, living and working downtown, and his work at OLiVE and elsewhere.

Bee Organic Dry Cleaners is now open at E on Grand! Bee Organic offers free pick up and delivery within South Park, and uses strictly organic detergents for all services. Stop in and say hello!
Update: MyFigueroa

Construction continues on the MyFigueroa project. New extended sidewalks were poured on the north side of 11th, and new light poles were installed. We're working closely with the MyFig team on outreach and logistics. If you want to receive construction and street closure updates, email Katie Kiefer.

In honor of  Giving Tuesday , we sat down with Anne Hawthorne, the Executive Director of the Los Angeles United Methodist Urban Foundation, to talk about  Kid City , an after school and leadership program located at  Hope Village .
