'Tis the season, isn't it? And no, it is not the decorations, Christmas music playing everywhere I go, or even this bit of snow we've had a couple of times, no! It's those darn cookies and candy sitting on the kitchen counter at my office that remind me that the holidays are approaching - then I realize I'm not as half ready as I should be. But, then again, those cookies give me joy, especially as I'm sitting here with pecan pie (it's heavenly!) and hot tea finishing my Christmas shopping, writing this letter and looking super busy to my coworkers who, for a split second, finally leave me alone.
So I hope you can find joy in whatever you're doing, because this time is probably the most stressful for all of us. Between shopping, bad DC drivers, work, and bittersweet family gatherings, it's hard to take a breath and enjoy small things and moments that bring us peace.
As for your golf joy and peace of mind, the board is hard at work planning for the 2018 season. We are working on the Kick-off luncheon that is set for March 24 at Tower Club, and are happy that the headquarters announced the tournament dates so we can actually start planning our own events. We will be announcing these as they are finalized so stay tuned.
Wishing you all happy and healthy holidays and a happy and prosperous hole-in-one New Year!
