Spring: Beyond the Celebrations

If you have followed us for any length of time, you know that just because a certain holiday or event or significance is denoted or celebrated in a certain month, we will not necessarily follow that topic. (in a regular way!)

I have learned that - I wouldn't say - there is a "method to their madness" - but there is a reason why a monthly topic might deviate from the norm a little bit. (and I know it's deep wisdom not madness!)

Over the last  5 ½ years, this newsletter has evolved in a variety of ways.

First, I now trust that sometime during the month, my guidance group who I channel who I call Maxx, will give me a "topic" for the monthly newsletter. They will offer a lesson that has some correlation to the month and to the healing journey after loss. Zac, my son in spirit, will then offer words of wisdom that usually piggy-backs on their guidance. Often, he clearly demonstrates that some of his personality traits from this physical life continues with him in his life of eternity. (which everyone does when they return to their spirit form because we all take with us what we learned and lived in our physical life from this and every life we experience.)

We usually continue on in a related vein in each section with a tip, strategy or helpful idea in the other newsletter segments.

Often, we will have an extra featured article section from another channeled higher order of beings called Sado who provides information and love to heal the grieving heart. Periodically, they ask that we share their truth with all of you as they did this month in the Extra Featured Article.

So, since we are in the month of spring holidays and celebrations, the Spring Equinox, (March 20th in the Northern Hemisphere/Autumn Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere)
St. Patrick's Day, (March 17 th) spring forward for daylight savings time (March 11th in many of the times zones in the US) let's see if they take us in a different direction for addressing spring...

Living Differently Tip

 Living Differently Tip:

The following is from my ongoing messages/lessons/guidance shared by and received from the non-physical perspective ...my Guides, aka. Maxx

This message holds a mini-lesson for all of us...
(usually I hear a phrase, a subject or they make a comment and then they explain their lesson...)

               What Spring Is All About.

Of course, most of you think of spring, wherever you are, spring means different things but spring most likely is the meaning of rebirth, regrowth, reemergence. When you do any of these, you see that evidence of. You may not  know that that is what is happening underneath the surface but you see it. You see the emergence. You see the growth. You see the rebirth of something that you thought may not reorganize itself to become. Now, do you see that is you? All life problems, issues, challenges in your physical being is meant for you to learn that metaphor and to live it. It is that reemergence of you, of that you who came here to learn from those challenges. It is those challenges that create that fertilizer to encourage that growth, that rebirth, that reemergence, that new you that you are seeking is the result of facing and knowing  how you faced your difficulties. It's not just in the facing, it's not just in the fertilizer, it is YOU. You came into this beingness to learn. Use this opportunity for you. That's what spring is all about. It is the reminder of you and your beingness.

                             **********
Zac Comment:

We've talked about this so many times. And there are so many ways to say it because so many people do not understand from that different perspective of how you be you. It's not difficult. It is in the doing but the learning is not difficult. Use it and put it into your practical use of you. And you will see all of those lilacs that you love which makes you see those butterflies that everyone else loves. That is that reemergence. Put into practice, what you already know.

                             **********

Your spirit helpers are with you all the time. They want to help you and they have a way of letting you know in a way you will understand...
Your job is to learn to trust them! You can have the comfort of your spirit guides and loved ones to ease the burdens of your physical life. I encourage you to embrace your connections.

       Seasonal Chang
es: Outside and Inside

Do you notice the seasonal changes? Are you aware of them or do they just pass with the monthly calendar changes?

Of course, your attention will be influenced by your location and whether your locality's weather creates seasonal changes that are obvious to notice. In areas where temperatures rarely vary, seasonal changes might be easier to go unnoticed.

What do you think, how do you feel, how are you affected when you think of the new spring season coming?

Are you excited to observe the mystery of what is becoming, do you dread the work that may be the result of the changes, do you feel positive anticipation or do you even care?

Spring can bring surprises, colors, newness and new learning or it can just create a different palate from which to continue sameness and an inability to move.

The variety of sight in this landscape scenario is based on one's perspective whether it is viewing one's outer or inner landscape.

Perspective is Key

This season of spring metaphor is a useful tool in navigating not only your grieving to healing journey but the inner landscape of you journey.

Many people may not be able to recognize this metaphor and the relationship to their grieving journey until they make the choice to move to their healing journey. And difficulty arises between understanding the metaphor in the mental mind ("Oh, yes, that makes sense!"- relates to your thinking mind) and making the decision to seek and live your life from your spiritual perspective. ("I feel these truths; they resonate with my heart" - feeling and using your intuitive self)

In order to move beyond the mind's understanding and making sense of concepts and cataloging them for "future use," you have to make a decision about how you want to live your life after your loss. This may be difficult but the alternative could perpetuate pain and struggle.

Moving beyond the outer changes; seeing the flowers change, feeling and hearing the wind and rain, smelling the wafts of blooming scents and touching the new growth, it's using those senses plus your inner guidance to understand your inner growth.

Your perspective changes when you are able to see you differently; to be aware of those changes inside and to assimilate them into the new sight of you.

And what is   your perspective? Perspective is your accumulated thoughts, stored with past experiences of emotions, situations and learning.

Your perspective can change your life from pain to peace.

Your Season of Change

Using seasonal changes as a metaphor can be an extremely helpful method of using your deep thoughts to discover your hidden truths in your heart.

Spring can represent rebirth, regrowth and reemergence as we marvel at viewing the wonder of the trees, plants and bulbs that retrace their steps every year and multiply in size and scale and magnitude.

But you can also be at the center of this wonder-filled and awesome phenomena. It is through your awareness and maintaining that awareness of you as you continue your growing path of your emerging YOU; your YOU that is changing, growing and reemerging into a stronger, more powerful beingness than you were ever aware of previously.

        Create Your Spring With Bergamot

Perhaps all the other human senses are more understood and studied than the sense of smell. Regardless, the sense of smell is probably the most intimate.

Often, changes in seasons can be identified by the intoxication of pleasant smells. You know they can conjure up people, situations, memories or they can create emotions.

Spring can reignite pleasant memories of grass, soil, blossoms, rain and a personal atmosphere of growth and rebirth not only through the visual realm but also through our olfactory system.

If your true season of spring has not arrived, you can still use essential oils to help create your own spring.

Bergamot is a citrus scented essential oil and a powerful form of a plant-based medicine.* It is an uplifting and calming scent that is used in Earl Grey tea, can be diffused for sleep, health of muscles and joints and for a healthy respiratory system. It is also good for anxiety, depression, emotional stress and general malaise.

            Being A Gardener of Gratitude

So much is written about the practice of gratitude increasing your well-being. Perhaps this season and not just Thanksgiving, is a good time to reflect on gratitude in relation to your growth and renewal in your healing process.

By practicing gratitude:

1. You demonstrate to yourself your commitment; which allows you to be aware of you in your process.
2. You send out positive energy into the world; which not only brings happiness to another when you express gratitude to them but you are affecting the earth's energy grid when you send out positive energy.
3. By starting your day with gratitude, you set the positive intention for your whole day (helping with your mood, positive emotions, stress and anxiety.
4. You are laying the groundwork for you to recognize your rebirth, regrowth and renewal.

In 2015 three bereaved moms and a clinical counselor began to channel a higher order group of beings self named SADO. This group, Sons and Daughters of the One, answered the call of this group to provide, as they say, "helpful information and love to heal the grieving heart".  The words SADO has channeled to us have been positive, helpful, life changing and truly healing. Many of their messages are available on  www.clearingyoursoul.com

They have asked us to share their truth about Opportunities for Growth with those who read this newsletter, as well as those who visit the Clearing Your Soul website.

                Opportunities for Growth

Dear Ones,
All of Earth's experiences are opportunities for growth. This season shows the opportunities that all plant, animal and all species wish to embrace. This is done through the connection and oneness of SPIRIT. All have this truly great essence within. You are no different than the tulip, the flowering trees, the grasses that turn green. That which allows them to show new life is within you as well. No matter the experience, SPIRIT energy, guidance and renewal is within you. Lean into the SPIRIT energy and let it show you the way to a life that is forever connected to those in Spirit. You cannot be detached as you are all one. Know this, live this, feel this. It creates your NOW!!!!!
And it is enough.

             Sunshine: A Great Healing Tool

We read so much every year about the benefits of sunshine vs. the risks. So, with spring arriving (or hopefully coming soon to a town near you!) it just makes sense to revisit the benefits as it is such an ally to our movement toward our healthy body, mind and spirit healing.

Research has shown that sunlight triggers the body's production of Vitamin D (the sunshine vitamin) when it interacts with the skin.

Vitamin D is crucial for overall health: guards against inflammation (the cause of numerous diseases) lowers blood pressure, improves brain function, boosts your immunity, increases serotonin so it could help control your appetite and decrease depression symptoms, encourages eye and bone health, produces melatonin to improve sleep quality and the list goes on.

A recent study found that 10 to 20 minutes per day of sun is adequate for the spring and summer months but during the winter months you'd need to spend at least 2 hours outside to get an adequate amount of vitamin D. Wow...

If you don't have a window like this cat to lay in the sunshine or if your spring has not yet arrived and you are seeking an answer to low energy or depression you might want to look into taking those walks outside or taking a Vitamin D supplement, eating Vitamin D rich foods, (although there aren't many: fish, eggs, mushrooms, milk, fortified orange juice) or looking into a Verilux Happy Light.

(Again, I'm not a doctor but I certainly WOULD support laying in the sun in a window like a cat!)

and this month's a final thought...

And you might have thought spring cleaning was all about decluttering your house, office, garage, etc. After the death of a loved one and moving yourself through the grieving process to the healing process you find it is so much more than that; beyond what you could have imagined. The measuring stick has changed for just about every action and situation in life. With this kind of perspective change though, it almost makes this kind of spring cleaning almost seem easy...

                 Until next month...

Chris Mulligan is an intuitive grief guide, teacher and author of Afterlife Agreements: A Gift From Beyond who is passionate about inspiring and guiding others to choose to live differently after grief, to change their pain to hope and their suffering to living on.  Her passion is fueled by her own transformation when her youngest son, Zac died in 2000 and she found herself enduring a shattered world she did not expect to inhabit. Receiving guidance through signs and communication from her son and other spirits, her life path shifted from living in grief to living on. She discovered her truth when she chose to open her heart and live life differently. From that place, she fearlessly created an abundant life full of gifts, gratitude and grace. A MS in Clinical Child, Youth, and Family Work, 25 years of Adoption Social Work, hospice volunteering, facilitating grief support groups and being her parents' end of life and transitional caregiver have taught her about pain and peace. She frequently speaks on panels and workshops for the bereaved and those working with the bereaved. She loves spending time with her husband and family of two dogs, Nina and Sam, four children and four grandchildren. She has been receiving images and messages from those on the other side for over 17 years and is currently writing a book incorporating their teachings.  Go to http://www.Afterlifebooks.com to learn more.
