Beat the Winter Blues and Visit VML in February!
Looking for a great book to curl up with, DVDs to binge watch, or just a warm place to escape the cold? Visit us in person to discover all of the changes that we have made to improve your library experience and check out our exciting
Events Calendar
to view this month’s offerings for children, teens and adults. Come browse this month’s displays of books for Black History Month, romantic DVDs, and books with “heart”
(in the title)! If you’re stuck, just ask and we are always
happy to offer suggestions.
In case you missed the news, many exciting changes have occurred at VML during the month of January. Have you seen our new circulation desk that is designed to better serve you? We have also now moved our collections of mystery, non-fiction, and science fiction to accommodate a new teen space. The teen space is artfully furnished, according to selections made by Marshfield teens, to create a warm and welcoming place for young adults. The area will be more complete when the walls are put up in the coming months. And finally, we close with this quote from Susan Orlean’s
The Library Book
which captures the spirit of
Ventress Memorial Library.
“The library is a gathering pool of narratives and of the people who come to find them. It is where we can glimpse immortality;
in the library, we can live forever.”
