Merry Christmas from Living Water!

Weekly Letter From Our Pastor

But the angel reassured them. "Don't be afraid!  I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.
The Savior-yes, the Messiah, the Lord-has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!"   Luke 2.10-11

There's a memorable conversation in, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" between Charlie Brown & Linus as they're walking to the skating pond.  It goes like this:

Charlie Brown says, "I think there must be something wrong with me, Linus.  Christmas is coming, but I'm not happy.  I don't feel the way I'm supposed to feel.  I just don't understand Christmas, I guess.  I like getting presents and sending Christmas cards and decorating trees and all that, but I'm still not happy.  I always end up feeling depressed."

Linus responds, "Charlie Brown, you're the only person I know who can take a wonderful season like Christmas and turn it into a problem.  Maybe Lucy's right.  Of all the Charlie Browns in the world, you're the Charlie Browniest."

What about you?  How are you feeling this Christmas?  Riding high, filled with joy and happiness?  Laying low, closer to the likes of the Charlie Browns?

To all the world, regardless of our feelings, the message of Christmas is the same:  "good news that will bring great joy to all people."

Sunday evening I invite you to come and celebrate this good news; our sure hope in Christ.  And be reminded of what...or who, brings everlasting joy to one and all.

Living for Jesus!

-Ned
