Reflecting on 2017 I am in awe of the tremendous amount of growth and change we have experienced this year. New Directions Career Center made great strides in honing in on our core competency and better maximizing the use of our space by  creating a brand new computer learning center for our clients, and transitioning B's Boutique to Dress for Success.  With the generous support of longtime board member, Donna Stevenson, this dream moved from concept to fruition in under 12 months! Additionally, we also took on the sizeable task of refreshing our entire building this year, and, thanks to NiSource we have been able to update both classrooms with smart screen technology as well! We are truly thankful for the wealth of support we have received this year and we are ever motivated to head into 2018, our 38th  year, ready to help those who are ready to help themselves by coming to the Center for a new direction.

I want to extend a warm thank you to all of our donors and funders who have and continue to support the life-changing work we do at the Center. Your support helps us to effect change for so many women throughout Central Ohio every day. I would also like to thank our Board of Directors who embraced the value of supporting the staff and the Center through these changes and improvements. Moreover, I cannot forget all of our wonderful volunteers as well as all of our staff at NDCC. Your time, creativity and talents make us even better and I look forward to working together to do even more great work with you in the coming year.

Linda Warden, Executive Director

In May 2017, the Center's leadership approved plans for renovations to create a lab space and received a generous pledge from long-time supporters Donna and Bill Stevenson to kick off the project! This expansion of services builds upon previous financial contributions made by Osteopathic Heritage Foundation and AEP for technological improvements.

We are thrilled to announce that the Computer Learning Center will be opening and available for client use in 2018. We hope to help our clients improve their employment opportunities with a chance to increase their computer skills as well as increased access to resources that will allow for uninterrupted job applications, career research, video interviews, resume development, and more.

The New Directions Young Professionals' Holiday Hearts event was a huge success! We were able to purchase gifts for 41 children over the holidays, making this the most impactful Holiday Hearts to date! Thank you to everyone who participated- we were absolutely thrilled to have your support again this year and you truly made this holiday season brighter for so many families. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Thank you to all of the individuals and companies that made a donation to this year's Circle of Friends Giving Campaign. With the added boost of The Big Give in October the campaign currently totals $43,431.64!  Each donation allows you to help support a woman in our community seeking change in her life.

For every dollar you donate, $0.86 is spent on direct services to clients. With your donation you can ensure that each woman who endeavors to change the direction of her life by coming to the Center will receive the quality career development and counseling services that NDCC has been known for throughout the past 37 years.

There's still time to make your donation before the end of 2017.

Thank You to our 2017 Corporate
