An Overview of Local User Groups

Awarding $300,000 at #TechOut2017

TechOut 2017 started and ended with great excitement on November 15. The event was hosted by Oracle+Dyn in their Manchester office. Council Executive Director, Matt Cookson served as MC for the evening, thanking the many sponsors and volunteers who made the event possible. Six companies made the final round and pitched at the event, vying for a chance to receive a portion of the $300,000 in investment capital awards from the Mill Works Fund Series II LP (Mill Works II).  Read more.

The Entrepreneur Forum, one of the Council's longest-running events, offers networking with experienced entrepreneurs and businesses, as well as an opportunity to learn about a New Hampshire-based company and its business challenges. The Entrepreneur Forum has undergone format changes and has evolved over the past year while continuing to be a valuable event for presenters, panelists and audience members alike.  Read more.

Twelfth Product of the Year Brings Diverse Products to Manchester Country Club

The Council recently awarded iCAD, Inc's PowerLook Tomo Detection as the 2017 Product of the Year. iCAD, Inc.'s PowerLook Tomo Detection is an advanced breast cancer detection software. The road to being named Product of the Year is not an easy journey, but it's certainly an exciting ride!  As usual, the Council received several strong applicants for this year's prestigious award. The judges were tasked with qualifying and narrowing the scope of applicants down to 5 semi-finalists, which included Pilot Innovation's Lightweight Carbon Fiber Assault Ladder LAL-18, Crane Currency's MOTION SURFACEâ„¢, Wagz, Inc.'s WAGZ Smart Dog Collar, and Vybe Software LLC's DevKit.  Read more.

TechWomen|TechGirls: A Year in Review

It has been a great year of continued growth for our TechWomen |TechGirls initiative. Our anchor programming, the TechWomen Power breakfast was held every month in 2017 - straight through the summer - without a lag in attendance. Our community of powerful, insightful women heard from speakers on a variety of topics including risk management, user interface technologies, solar and personal brand and leadership development.  Read more.
