Consumer Immersive Experience: In Food Texture Active Learning Workshop
 February 13-15, 2018

To conquer the many challenges faced by farmers, families and the food industry S upporters of Agricul tural Research ( SoAR) is working together with teams of scientists s howcasing research from educational institutions throughout the country. " Retaking the Field: Volume 2: Strengthening the Science of Farm and Food Production : Strengthening the Science of Farm and Food Production" features  Dr. Susan McCouch , Dr. Diane Wang, and Dr. Joshua Woodard who studied data from the USDA and local organizations to improve rice production. Additionally the team was able to look at the genetic makeup of the different varieties  that were planted to assemble a complete picture of U.S. rice farming over the past 40 years.
