LAKEVIEW EAST HOLIDAY PARTY

The Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce held their annual holiday party on Tuesday, December 12th at Rizzo's Bar and Inn. Business owners and members of the community joined us for an evening of food, libations, music and mingling. Check out some of the pictures from the event here. 

CLOSE OUT OF SUGAR BEVERAGE TAX

Does the Country Owe you Money for the close out of the Sugar Beverage Tax?  If you are a retailer registered as a distributor with the County, you will be able to take a credit on your final tax return directly from the county.  If you are a retailer that did not register as a distributor with the county, you will apply for a credit/refund from each distributor with which you purchased qualifying products.  If you are a distributor (and not a retailer) and your refund or credit a retailer for the SBT, you can seek reimbursement from the County by applying for a credit on your final tax return or by applying for a refund from the department.

City of Chicago BACP Free Workshops 
The Department of Business Affairs & Consumer Protection (BACP) offers workshops every Wednesday and Friday. Workshops vary each month and are conducted by City Officials, experts and partner business organizations. All workshops are free, and open to the public. Workshops are held at BACP's offices located at 121 N. LaSalle St., City Hall Room 805, Chicago, IL 60602.
