VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Your Chance to Give Back
At the heart of McDonogh School is a founding principle to "give something more than we take," and this spirit of service lives on in our alumni. No matter where you live, you can give your time or talent. If you are interested in participating in any of the Alumni Association committees listed below, please contact Jen Little at
[email protected].
Community Service Committee - Take part in existing community service projects or create new ones to make positive changes at McDonogh, in our local community, and throughout the world.
McDonogh Fund Committee - Help increase alumni financial support of the school, both in dollars and in participation, and help McDonogh strive to achieve the highest alumni participation among Baltimore-area independent schools.
Mentoring Committee - Foster meaningful and productive one-on-one relationships between alumni and students. Share your experiences, provide career or academic advice, or arrange for student internships.
Regional Chapters - Because more than half of McDonogh's alumni live outside the Baltimore area, we have established regional chapters in Atlanta, Boston, D.C., Los Angeles,
New York City, and the San Francisco Bay Area to keep McDonogh's extended family connected and vibrant. Activities may include dinners, networking events, museum tours, community service projects, or happy hours.
Reunion Gift Chairs and Committee
Each reunion class needs a committee of leaders to encourage classmates to support The McDonogh Fund, the school's annual fund, in honor of its milestone reunion. Volunteers will determine solicitation strategies, solicit gifts from classmates, attend phonathons, and encourage Reunion Weekend attendance. Interested volunteers should contact Director of Alumni Giving Megan Lentz '10 at [email protected].
Reunion Social Chairs and Committee
Each reunion class needs a committee of leaders to help promote its milestone reunion and plan programs and activities. Volunteers will coordinate details of their individual class party, help with communication to classmates including the use of social media, assist in gathering current information for classmates, and encourage Reunion Weekend attendance. Interested volunteers should contact Director of Alumni Giving Megan
Social Committee - Coordinate and support alumni events throughout the year with the goal of increasing alumni participation and improving social connections among alumni.
Young Alumni Committee - Help create opportunities to increase participation among graduates from the past 15 years.

In this season of gratitude, we invite you to join our community of alumni donors and volunteers in making an immediate impact on the lives of students and faculty. Thank you to our alumni who have already given or pledged this school year. Your support is greatly appreciated! If you have not yet made your gift, please do so here
.
Please note that all pledges must be fulfilled by June 30, 2018, and gifts must be received by December 31, 2017 to count for the 2017 tax year.
To learn more about The McDonogh Fund or to volunteer, contact Megan
Lentz '10, Director of Alumni Giving, at 443-544-7055 or
