Undergraduate Scholarship

Highly qualified undergraduate students are invited to apply to fund study, senior thesis research and/or internships in Germany. Scholarships are available either as part of an organized study abroad program or an independent study abroad semester or year. Apply by Jan 31st, 2018.

RISE Germany

RISE Germany is a 10-12 week summer internship program for undergraduates in the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, engineering, and computer science. Bachelor students receive the opportunity to work with researchers at universities and research institutions across Germany. The working language is English. Apply by Dec 15th.

A recent study by DAAD on lessons learned through integrating refugees successfully in German higher education shows best practices in creating programs that reduce the entry and language barriers.In 2016 alone, over 6,800 refugees particpated in the DAAD Program "Integra" which prepares refugees for study at German universities.

Will I receive credit for the coursework or internship in Germany as part of the Undergraduate Scholarship?

You will need to make the arrangements to receive credit yourself. In order to apply to the Undergraduate Scholarship, you have to show us that you are eligible to receive credit from your home institution.

Did you know that...

...children in Germany get to open their gifts already on Christmas Eve? The so-called "Bescherung" is a long-standing tradition, where children need to wait for a bell to ring before they may enter the living room where the Christmas tree and their presents are.
