"Beyond the Game" Player Spotlight
Ally Placide
Ally Placide, a U-15 Mystx player, went "Beyond the Game" during her winter break by volunteering with CARITAS to help homeless families in our community. Ally assisted by setting up the dinner tables, chairs, and mattresses in the gym at her church, St. Edward's, before the families arrived. She also helped that evening by preparing and serving a taco dinner for the guests. Later, after socializing and connecting with the CARITAS families, she helped clean the dishes.
CARITAS is an organization that helps men, women, and families overcome homelessness and addiction. Through this program individuals are provided shelter, food, and basic necessities. Ally went “Beyond the Game” by helping her local community and showing that simply lending a hand can make a huge impact in the lives of others.
