Birthday celebrations are exciting. Our country just celebrated it's 240th birthday. My twin granddaughters just celebrated their 8th-month birthday. Spiritual birthdays are even more exciting. We read that "
there is rejoicing in the presence of the
angels of God over one sinner who repents." Luke15:10 With people coming to Christ constantly around the world, heaven must be a continual party. I heard of Calvary Temple in India that was planted in 2005 with 25 members. Now they have 130,000! They just built their new building in 52 days! Amazing. God continues to work around the world. We rejoice that through our new church plants and existing churches in our network, people are coming to Christ and getting baptized. Keep focused on this great commission of Jesus. Pacific Church Network is here to help. We are excited about all that is happening around our network. New believers, new churches, revived existing churches, and a new seminary. PCN wants to establish and strengthen churches to influence their world with the gospel of Jesus. Thanks for being a part of this exciting network of churches.
Enjoy our newsletter, and have a great July.

Pacific Church Network Sunday
|
We'd like you to join us in celebrating all that God has done since we relaunched our network!! We have a great story to tell and we'd like our churches to celebrate with us. All we ask is that you show this
three-minute video that we played at our annual meeting sometime this July or August during your worship service. Let your church know that since 2012, our churches together through PCN have planted 15 churches!! That is pretty exciting!! Let your church know that they, along with all the other members of PCN, will continue to plant four new churches every year. Through these church plants, we have seen hundreds of people come to Christ. We have offered free training opportunities, free pastor and wife getaways and much more. Thanks for being a part of PCN. Help us share our story. Thank you!

On April 28, Pacific Church Network's very appreciated and valued Administrative Assistant, Laura Harder, found out that she had breast cancer. Since then she has had many tests, many doctors appointments, and major surgery. She has been recovering from a successful surgery and hopes to be back in the office in July. We miss her wonderful spirit around the office. She writes on Facebook, "God has helped me so much, and I'm doing very well-- it was found in the early stages! So far, I've been told I will not need chemo or radiation, as they were able to remove the cancer during the surgery! I'm already in the process of reconst
ruction... I did not expect to be on this journey, but I'd like to tell you how faithful and amazing God has been to me! God has encouraged me through His Word, His Spirit, my incredible husband, wonderful family, friends and co-workers. I'm so thankful for everyone who has prayed for me, and I will be so thankful to any of you who will pray for me going forward. I am so thankful to Jesus who is faithful to walk with his children through every season of life, the good and the difficult."

Honorary Doctorate Recipient
|
 Pastor
Emilio A. Núñez was completely surprised during the Bible Seminary of the Americas (Seminario de las Americas) graduation on June 25, when the Board of Pacific Church Network honored him with an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity. Emilio is well deserving of this honor. Emilio is the Director of Spanish Ministries at PCN, the Director of the Seminary, Pastor of Bell Gardens Baptist Church's Spanish-language Congregation for the last 32 years, and Adjunct Professor at Fuller Seminary. He has also taught at Talbot Theological Seminary and Biola University, and has three earned Master Degrees. The former board for the seminary made this recommendation to the current board of PCN who unanimously agreed to bestow this honorary degree on Emilio. Congratulations to Dr.
Emilio A. Núñez as well as this year's seminary graduates, Franco Palacios and Alonso Ventura!

Joe LoMusio Retirement Service
|
Pastor Joe LoMusio had served at one church longer than any other Pacific Church Network senior pastor. On July 3, after 35 years, Temple Baptist Church in Fullerton said farewell to their beloved pastor. Joe and Linda, came to Temple Baptist on April 1, 1981. It was no April fool's joke, for he stayed there for the next 15,938 days! Pastor Joe had served on the CB Southern California Board for many years and recently was the Chairman of the Ordination Committee. Joe had the opportunity of baptizing 460 people over the last 35 years at Temple. He and his wife Linda will be moving to Murietta. We are thankful for the faithful ministry of this godly pastor. Temple Baptist has asked PCN to assist them in finding their next pastor, and we are looking forward to helping them during this transition. See more pictures on our PCN facebook page

Deeper Relational Connections
|
"In the space between full calendars and numerous responsibilities, Jim Smith, seven other CBA Regional Executive Directors and the five executive leaders of WorldVenture gathered together on June 22-23, 2016, to seek deeper relational connections among us. Through times in the Word and prayer, sharing, laughter, and meals together, we enjoyed a fellowship together that has been missing in recent years. Together, we expressed our mutual affirmation to the work of healthy relationships, our mutual concerns for making disciples of Jesus Christ in an ever increasing globalized world, and our mutual commitments to the work of Christ in building His Church. We also expressed our desire to take additional steps to improve the communications, the coordination, and the cooperation among us. We prayed for and sensed the smile of God on our time together. These were days and discussions consecrated to the Lord for His glory!"

California May Rewrite History Books
|
The California Department of Education is close to approving a politically correct, but historically incorrect, teaching of history for public school children.
On
July 13 and 14,
State Board of Education members will vote to accept or reject recommended changes to the state's History-Social Science Framework. One example of censorship is that t
he proposed framework deletes the words "Judeo-Christian" and instead states that America's governing institutions were "influenced by a number of religions."
No other religions but Judaism and Christianity influenced America's governing institutions. While the re-written statement may be politically correct, it is historically incorrect. Read more

Your Website is Important
|
Technology and design styles change quickly and so too can the focus of your church. It is important that your website remains current with these changes and that your church is getting the most out of the new online opportunities that are available. Sometimes there can be a reluctance to outlay the expense of a new website design; however, if done well, redesigning your website can be a high return on investment. For Pacific Church Network members, Drew Moore Design will help you design or overhaul your website. Regularly $2,700, enter PCN in the promo code box and they will completely overhaul or design your website for only $1,500. Look for the jump start package (logo, social media, website). Our sister organization and mission outreach partner, WorldVenture, at their April 2016 board of directors meeting, unanimously approved the following actions:
* To file with the IRS to terminate WorldVenture's Defined Benefit Pension Plan (DBPP), and
* To authorize the sale of select WorldVenture properties, including the Littleton office property, to infuse proceeds into the DBPP distributions.
They will be relocating close to their current facility, but
the board and the Global Operations team believe this course of action best aligns their stewardship needs with their WorldVenture ethos. Read more
