The Office of International Affairs is seeking a group of passionate and creative domestic and international students to volunteer
as global ambassadors. The global ambassadors are a diverse and engaging team of students committed to promoting cultural exchange and the engagement of students, staff and faculty in the global Ohio State community.
This is a wonderful opportunity to get involved and enhance your personal and professional knowledge of the many cultures that makes us all unique.
Qualifications:
- Ohio State student in good academic standing
- Committed to cross-cultural exchange
- Open-minded and willing to learn about other cultures
- Able to take initiative and work well with others

Your Design Could be the Wallpaper for 10,000+ iPad Pro Devices
|
Digital Flagship is excited to announce an opportunity for students with art and design interests to have their work featured on the home screens of the largest 1:1 technology implementation in higher education. The winner will not only have their work pre-loaded on all 10,000+ devices distributed in the 2018-2019 academic year, but will also receive an iPad Pro, Smart Keyboard, Apple Pencil and protective case.
A second-place finalist will also receive an iPad Pro package and have their design available for download. All undergraduate students are encouraged to submit their designs.

Columbus Crew Game with Global Engagement
|
Celebrate the end of the semester while cheering on the Columbus Crew SC on Saturday, March 24. The Office of International Affairs is offering 40 free passes to watch the match against D.C. United. Transportation will be provided. The bus to the stadium will leave the Ohio Union bus turnaround at 5 p.m. and return to campus at 8:30 p.m.
To enter the lottery for the tickets, register online before March 19 at 11:59 p.m. Students will be picked at random and will be notified. If you have any questions about the trip, please contact Renée Bishai.

Fifth Annual Spring Egg-Stravaganza |
The Office of International Affairs will host its fifth annual Spring Egg-Stravaganza for students and scholars on Saturday, March 31 at Enarson Classroom Building.
The event will include two egg hunts, delicious donuts with juice and many more exciting treats and prizes.
The first egg hunt will be for scholars and their families at 11 a.m., followed by an egg hunt for students at 1 p.m. Both egg hunts will take place in and around Enarson Classroom Building.

Apply to Be an Ohio State Signature Events Chair
|
If you are a student interested in putting your organizational and leadership skills to the test, then you should become the co-chair, or chair-elect, of one of our signature events -
Thanksgiving or
Taste of OSU.
The Office of International Affairs is accepting applications from students who want to learn more about running a planning committee, budgeting, time management and communications.
Applicants for the Thanksgiving co-chair position should be rising juniors and seniors. Students interested in applying for the Taste of OSU chair-elect position will need to be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in spring 2020.
If selected as Taste of OSU chair-elect, the student will be mentored throughout the Taste of OSU 2019 planning process so he or she will be ready to assume the position of chair of Taste of OSU 2020. Taste of OSU 2020 will take place on Friday, February 14, 2020.

Global Engagement Film Series
|
The Office of International Affairs collaborates with the Gateway Film Center to host a monthly international film series. Students have the chance to view films from around the world for free!
The next film will be shown on Wednesday, March 28 at 7 p.m. at the Gateway Film Center.
Students do not need to register for the event, but plan on coming early because t
he first 30 students will receive free popcorn and soda!
Admission is FREE for students with a BuckID and offered at regular price to the public.

Join the Office of International Affairs for Global Engagement Night
every Tuesday evening during the semester
. Domestic and international students are invited to engage in weekly conversations on a variety of themes.
The next Global Engagement Night will take place March 20, 6 p.m. in 160 Enarson Classroom Building, and we will discuss global hairstyles.

All international students are invited to attend two upcoming academic workshops, designed specifically to address issues international students face in the classroom. The next sessions is:
Preparing Effective Papers
- Thursday, March 22, 3:45 - 4:45 p.m.
160 Enarson Classroom Building
- This workshop will help students with the most common writing assignments at the undergraduate level, including short and long research papers, essays, and response papers.
- Students will learn about:
- Assignment expectations
- How to effectively plan papers
- Rules regarding plagiarism and citations
- Writing resources on campus

Summer and Autumn Employment with Recreational Sports

The Department of Recreational Sports will start applications for summer and autumn positions March 19.
They are looking for enthusiastic, hard-working student employees who enjoy interacting with our student, faculty, staff members and their guests in a positive way.
The student staff is an important component in helping Recreational Sports fulfill and achieve their mission, vision and values. In return, the department provides student employees with valuable work experiences at a fair wage.
