Invite you to join Us for
Conversation Sabbath!

Conversation Sabbath is an initiative of Reimagine End of Life, a City-wide, week-long collection of events exploring death, dying, and bereavement, and celebrating life through the arts, spirituality, health care, and innovation. Reimagine week is April 16 - 22.

In partnership with the City of San Francisco and the San Francisco Interfaith Council, Reimagine is inviting clergy throughout San Francisco to preach, teach or engage about the vital importance of having values-centered conversations with our loved ones about what matters most when it comes to care at the end of life.

Here's how it works. We are asking congregations to:

¨  Have clergy "preach from the pulpit" on the sabbath prior to  Reimagine week, which means April 13-15
¨  Hold an education hour that Sabbath or on a day during  Reimagine week to discuss with congregants how to start the conversation around end of life concerns with loved ones
¨  Hold a follow up "how did it go" education hour 2 weeks later - week of April 30 - May 2
¨  Encourage congregants to participate in other  Reimagine week programming
¨  The City will organize neighborhood workshops for filling out advanced care documents and directives during Reimagine week and one month after -
May 14 -20.
¨  Please include information about  Reimagine Week in your communications to your congregation
We are providing free resources and training for clergy. We are also encouraging and supporting congregations that want to participate in or host other
Reimagine events throughout the City.
If Conversation Sabbath doesn't fit into your schedule, please consider adapting the framework to your community, or consider other programming that would engender conversation around end of life during Reimagine week. The goal is to encourage conversation in whatever way your community will engage the issues.
