to host Jackson County Farmer Elk Forum and question-answer session regarding the Elk Reintroduction Project in Jackson County at 1:00pm at the American Legion Hall in Melrose. Presenting at the forum will be Scott Roepke, Wildlife Biologist at the DNR. Scott will present on where the elk project is currently at and where it is expected to go in future years. Also presenting will be Dewayne Snobl, Wildlife Specialist with USDA-Wildlife Services. This is a free event open to the public. Refreshments will be provided. 8 Karner Blue Garden Club and Black River Memorial Hospital
presents Melinda Myers, nationally known gardening expert, author, and TV/radio host. Myers will present two sessions on Thursday, March 8. Presentation topics include Vegetable Gardening Success and Simple Landscape Makeovers. Myers is a down-to-earth presenter. Attendees will leave with more confidence in their gardening abilities and tips for healthy gardening. The event will take place at the Black River Falls Middle School. Myers will do a book signing starting at 5:00 p.m. There will also be booths on gardening and health-related topics. The first presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m. This event is free and there will be door prizes and light refreshments. Register at
