Daylight Savings Begins. Set clocks ahead 1 hour.
4th Sunday in Lent
I Know What They Want Me to Say
Katie Kinnison preaching

Dear Covenant friends and family,
The theology here almost seems to write the sermon, doesn’t it? John 3:16 may be the best-known bible verse in 21st century America – or the most notorious, depending upon how one reads it and responds to it.
As I read the scriptures for this Sunday, my first reaction was precisely, “ I know what they want me to say .” “They” representing in my mind people who espouse a certain view of God and how God works in the world.
That view is not my view.
So this Sunday we will find ourselves talking about  Who is God?  and  What does that mean for how we live?   for how we “do” Church?
I hope you will join us. Your presence here makes us richer, fuller, more ourselves, more the body of Christ.
Yours in this family of God,
Katie

PS
Remember it is daylight savings time. Set your clocks ahead and do not miss worship!
Also, Jacqui Buschor will be leading a really important Agora series that begins this Sunday in the Lounge at 9:45 am. We will be learning more about how to be with one another – and especially people who may feel like  “others”  – so that we truly do bear God’s love into this world.
AGORA - Learning to Lean In. Led by Jacqui Buschor.
Sundays March 11, 18, 25, 9:45a, Lounge
It can feel good to help fill the needs of others, and our ministry can leave us with that warm feeling. But what happens when we're called to love those stuck in impossible situations or those whose pain is prickly or reminds us too much of our own? Can we find the courage to be fully present when good sense would have us back away? Explore how leaning into our own discomforts and wounds better equips us to meet the pain of the world.
