March 8, 2018

Dear School Families,
We are in the midst of the third week of Lent.  This week the gospel readings are calling us to reflect on Forgiveness.  How much do you hold on to that burdens your heart and your mind?

I am so in love with the bulletin board displays in the halls.  The students reflections on their Lenten journey are beautiful.   When I pause to look at the amazing work of your children, the burdens from the day are lightened as I am reminded that it truly is in God's hands.
Our third graders will be presenting the Stations of the Cross after the 8:00 a.m. mass.  I invite you take time to pray with us.

In Partnership,

Fely Fajardo
Interim Principal

#givebacktothecommunity  Students participated in the Catholic Social Teaching: Call to Family, Community & Participation:  500 children's books collected for the Contra Costa Foster Care Center

First Grade experience an art lesson on illustration and imagination based on Dr. Seuss' surrealism.  First graders are learning two digit addition and subtraction.  In religion the students are learning to recite the Our Father prayer on their own.  They are becoming critical thinkers in reading by discussing problems and coming up with solutions.

Thank you to all our families and faculty who participated in the Casino Tour and raised $500 towards the East Bay Vivarium Assembly coming during MARE Week.   Our next family event is our Annual Parish School Auction April 21!  Save the date!

Parents & Our Catholic Identity

My family has been attending Holy Rosary School for 6 years.  We have four children currently enrolled: a fourth grader, a second grader, and two first graders.  Although I am Catholic, my husband is not, so the choice to pay for a private, Catholic school was not made lightly.  It took much convincing to get my husband to see the wonderful experiences this school would offer our children.

HOLY ROSARY SCHOOL INVITES YOU TO SHARE YOUR FAMILY STORY AND CELEBRATE YOUR CATHOLIC IDENTITY. CONTACT US AT: [email protected]

Your opinion matters.  We are sending out a survey on the School's Catholic Identity, Academics, Facility and more.  Please complete the survey by March 9.  Your honest and thoughtful opinions are important as we work together to ensure the future of Holy Rosary School.
