24-Hour Guided Silent Retreat
This retreat is planned for January 26-27, 2018 at the Siena Retreat Center in Racine, WI, located along the shores of Lake Michigan.

A new year.  A new beginning.

A perfect time for reflection and renewal: contemplatively examining the year behind us and spiritually preparing for the new year ahead. Join us as we create space for a day of guided solitude in a place of stillness and serenity. We will gather at 4 pm on Friday and conclude at 4 pm on Saturday. Between opening and closing gatherings, you will be given the gift of time to rest in God and savor this opportunity to quiet your soul. 

The cost for a private room, gathering space, snacks and three meals is $115. Space is limited to the first 25 people to register. Questions may be directed to Tami Pringle or  847-224-0400.

Year-End Contributions
We would like to close out the current year in good financial standing. If you made a financial commitment to Atonement for 2017, would you take a moment to ensure that your giving is current? As a reminder, in order for amounts to be claimed in 2017 for tax purposes, your contribution must be received by the church before the close of the calendar year. If you need to know if your giving is up to date, you may call or email Dawn Patten, our Financial Service Director at 224-655-7503 . You may also leave her a confidential voice mail and she will return your call.

Blood Drive
Each year, January is designated as National Donor Month and 4.5 million lives are saved by blood transfusions. LifeSource supplies blood to all of the major hospitals in our area and will be at Atonement on Sunday, January 7. The donation process takes about one hour and it is perfectly safe and comfortable. The actual blood donation usually takes about 10 minutes. Donors need to be at least 17 years old and in good health.  This Sunday, volunteers will be on the bridge to schedule appointments.
