Dear Marquette Alumni, Parents, and Friends,
We are one week into our BE more Campaign, and I am humbled by your continued generosity and support. Donations have steadily arrived, and each one has doubled thanks to the benevolence of Most Reverend Bishop Donald J. Hying and the Diocese of Gary.
While capital campaign donations will go to future projects, I want to highlight the improvements and renovations made possible through previous contributions.
In early 2017, we completed several necessary updates to the main building at 306 W. 10th Street. Marquette invested $300,000 for new windows which included the installation of solar shades. This portion of the Phase I project not only provides present and future cost savings to our bottom line via energy efficiency, but it also demonstrated our consciousness to the environment.
We also spent $100,000 to revamp the roof of the main building. This critical improvement brought an end to the leaking which affected our second floor.
It is essential that Marquette remains proactive in maintaining top-of-the-line facilities. Donations to the BE more Campaign allow us to carry out our mission as a Catholic institution of the highest quality.
To those of you who have already donated: thank you. Your gift will directly benefit the next generation of Blazers. To those who haven't given yet, I wish to remind you that no gift is too small. Bishop Hying's match has helped spark a charitable atmosphere unlike any experienced during my tenure at Marquette Catholic High School.
