School Board to Interview, Select Next Superintendent of Palm Beach County Schools

The Palm Beach County School Board will hold a special meeting this afternoon to interview and select the School District of Palm Beach County's next superintendent of schools.

The three finalists, Dr. David Christiansen, Dr. Donald Fennoy and Keith Oswald, will each be interviewed by the Board during the public meeting, which will begin at 3 p.m.  Read more...
Women's Empowerment Summit to Assist Women in Business, Register Now

English Teachers! The Florida English Journal Wants to Publish You and Your Students

The Florida English Journal is a peer-reviewed publication of the Florida Council of Teachers of English. The 2018 Spring Edition of the Journal is an open edition, and they are looking for content including, but not limited to:  research articles addressing any aspect of writing, literature, or education, English lesson plans, professional development for English educators, class projects (art, writing, etc.), artwork, fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction. Mrs. Killingsworth fought back tears Monday as she was surprised by a cafeteria full of students, her family and representatives from ValuTeachers with news that she has been chosen for the "LifeChanger of the Year" Award.

Her eligibility for the award was a result of being selected as the School District of Palm Beach County's Teacher of the Week after she was nominated for the award by the parents of one of her students, who had nothing but high praise for her dedication both inside and outside of the classroom.
