  Tourism
Tourism Promotes Greeneville
Tourism continues to work with local and regional media outlets to promote all things Greeneville. In February, Tammy Kinser worked with  Chris McIntosh with WJHL's Daytime Tri Cities on his new "Hidden Gems" segment.  On Wednesday, February 28, Chris visited The Bean Barn and interviewed Jerry Hartsell.  The Facebook posts alone on Discover Greeneville reached  more than 7,200 people and was shared 71 times as of Thursday, March 1 as well as 675 impressions on Twitter.  Chris will be working with Tammy and visiting Greeneville again in the near future.  Tourism also continues its monthly visit to Daytime TriCities and was featured on Thursday, February 22.  The focus of the interview was Cultural  Arts in Greene County and featured Annie Hogan Byrd on the campus of Tusculum College, The Capitol Theatre, The Greeneville Theatre Guild and Niswonger Performing Arts Center.  On Monday, February 19, Tourism worked with Dave Dierks and WCYB to interview a few of the local favorites including The Doak House Museum, The General Morgan Inn and The Capitol Theatre.  WCYB and their Stormtracker segment will continue to work with GCP Tourism on future segments throughout the year.

Turn Down Gift
A special thanks goes out to The General Morgan Inn for partnering with Tourism on a "turn down gift" sponsorship for the 2018 Rendezvous South Tradeshow in Daytona Beach Florida Feb. 25-28.  The conference hosted 40 of the nation's premier bus group leaders and Greene County Tourism and the General Morgan Inn were front stage.  The sponsorship enabled our community, and all we have to offer, to be in front of the group leaders at a fraction of the cost it would have been to actually attend the conference.  Tourism and GMI will receive all leads and contact information on all 40 leaders.  If you are interested in teaming up with Tourism for future events such as these, please contact Tammy Kinser at   tkinser@greenecop.com .

Southern Travel + Lifestyles Magazine
Front stage and Full page is what our community has received in
the February and March editions of Southern Travel + Lifestyles magazine.  In the February edition, the full page ad focused on what to do and what to see in our community and included photos and editorial as well as a mention in the Undiscovered Destination's section.  In the March edition, Tourismhighlighted our Cultural Arts by featuring photos of our theatres and write ups on the history of each venue.  Tourism plans to continue this partnership with Southern Travel + Lifestyles throughout 2018.

Spring Social
Tourism means quality of life for our community.  In celebration of regional tourism, the Northeast Tennessee Tourism Society and the Tourism Department of the Partnership is teaming up for a "Spring Social" to be held on Tuesday, March 13 at the General Morgan Inn and Conference Center from 3-5 p.m.  All that are interested in attending are welcome, Tourism only asks that an RSVP be sent by Friday, March 9.  Come and find out what Tourism both locally and regionally has been up to and plans to be a part of in the coming months.  To RSVP, please contact Tammy Kinser at tkinser@greenecop.com or call 423-638-4111.
