Miss Widner's News
Dear Students, Parents, Grandparents, and Staff,
Good luck to some of our middle school students who are performing in South Bend today at Pueri Cantores! They have been practicing for several months and today they woke up very early and traveled to St. Pius in Granger to perform and celebrate Mass with Bishop Rhoades. What an honor to share your awesome gifts and talents!!
This Sunday, March 11 Daylight Saving Time begins. This means that you "spring your clock forward" one hour before you go to bed Saturday, March 10th!! We have a reminder in the Wednesday Envelope that you can put on your refrigerator!
Next Wednesday, March 14th, we will have a special All School Mass at 9:30 (different time) for preschool-8th grade. We are keeping in our prayers the students in Florida who lost their lives in that horrible tragedy as well as the survivors. We also pray for all students, educators, parents, and families that peace may fill our world this Lenten season. On March 22, St. Elizabeth Church is having a Healing Mass at 6:00 PM with Reconciliation beginning at 5:00 PM. If you are in need of healing because of an upcoming surgery or possibly spiritual, emotional healing as well, this would be a wonderful opportunity to attend this special Mass.
Be looking for a survey coming home online on eLearning and Student Led Conferences. It will be on Survey Monkey and have about 5-6 questions. We appreciate your input!
I am looking forward in seeing you all at Seton Night Live this Saturday, March 10th at 5:30 PM!! This is such an awesome evening celebrating our school, staff, and children! Go Pioneers!!

Have a peaceful Lent!

Easter Baskets

In the past, National Junior Honor Society has collected items to make Easter baskets for the children and youth of Vincent House. Last year, we reached out to the elderly in our community and we would like to continue to brighten their Easter season by sending baskets again this year. We can only do this with your help!

By filling baskets with candy, books, and other goodies, we hope to spread the love of Christ during this very important season. As Jesus calls us to Almsgiving, we are hopeful that you will help us provide the goods to spread the love.

Each grade level will be given a category of items to provide. Items will be collected in the atrium from March 12th - March 16th. Attached to the link below you will find a listing the items assigned to each grade level as well as a list of suggested items to send in.

Once all items have been collected, the baskets will be assembled in an equitable manner assuring that each resident gets a nice Easter basket.

Attached to the link below you will find the grade level assignments.

Thank you very much for your support of this project!

Starbase Summer Camps
Announcing: STARBASE Indiana-Fort Wayne's 2018 Summer Camps!

Our summer camps explore the best of our local community STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) collaborations. As an extension to learning at our host STARBASE locations, we travel around our local communities to bring students the latest in STEAM learning. We pack these 5-day programs with any of the following: computer design, aviation investigations, the science of baseball, robotics programming, 3D printing or one of our very favorites-rocket launches. Along with experiments and rocket launches, we know campers are also building skills in observation, investigation, science, technology, engineering, and math. Not to mention confidence!

Advanced Camp Week: This hands-on project features a High-Altitude Balloon (HAB) Launch. Campers will build
projects which include on-board cameras for recording of balloon travels, and data analysis of camper designed experiments.
June 11 - 15, 2018 - Camp Week 1
Eligibility: Campers eligible for Advanced Camp include campers entering 7th, 8th, or 9th grades.
