February 9th & 10th, 2018

Enjoy a weekend of curling fun for beginners and experienced competitors, with a tournament and learn-to-curl sessions.
Curling Fest 2018 is a 2-day event featuring a tournament on Saturday, February 10 for both experienced and novice competitors, and a learn-to-curl lessons on February 9, 2018.
Spectators are welcome to come and watch the bonspiel (term for curling tournament) for free and enjoy music, beer, food from Thompson's Pizza, hot cocoa, vendors, and more in a heated tent.

SRSLY Chelsea

SRSLY's 10th Annual New Year's Eve Party
Over the past nine years, more than 3,000 people have attended the SRSLY New Year's Eve Party in Chelsea. This is our 10th Year - and we want the party to be bigger and better than ever! Our goal is to provide a fun, substance-free environment in which kids and parents can celebrate this holiday together.  

SRSLY is seeking sponsors to help cover the cost of the party so we can continue to offer this event free to the community.  SRSLY New Year's Eve will be held on Sunday, December 31 from 4-8 pm at Beach Middle School. Families from our neighboring SRSLY communities - Dexter, Stockbridge, and Manchester - are also invited to attend.
The party will include a live musical performance by members of 
the Chelsea House Orchestra, a bounce house, swimming, 
open gym, photo booth, face painting, video games, gaga ball, 
cookie decorating, and crafts.

Different sponsorship opportunities are available. Community 
support of the party is vital to its success, and all of our sponsors 
will be recognized on our website, in our e-newsletter, and at the party. All sponsorships are 100% tax-deductible as a donation to SRSLY.

Join us for a concert celebrating our music cultural exchange - in Detroit on Martin Luther King Day! We are excited to bring our overwhelmingly successful concert from earlier this month in Chelsea to life again.

Western Washtenaw Area Value Express

Exploring all that Chelsea has to offer just got easier.
A new, enhanced collaboration between the Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE) and the United Methodist Retirement Communities (UMRC) has led to a free community shuttle transportation service for all Chelsea residents.  
The Chelsea Community Ride now operates 7 days per week and includes church shuttle services. Click on the links below for scheduled pickup times throughout the community.
This free, business district shuttle service can 'flex' between scheduled pickup points along the route to provide stops at the businesses of your choice. WAVE policies and traffic conditions will be considered when passengers request 'flex' stops


Group Trips & Community Shuttles
Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express provides group trip and community shuttle services for qualifying groups under Michigan Department of Transportation Guidelines.  If you would like information about whether your group qualifies to participate in this program, contact WAVE by calling WAVE's administrative office.

Hourly Rate
The current hourly rate is $75.00 per hour which begins with the driver's clock-in time and ends when clocked-out.  Pre and post trip bus inspection and drive time to and from your location are included in driver's on-the-clock time.
