Shaping Westshore's Future
President
Jay Botsch shared Alliance priorities for the coming year, which include:
- Continued advocacy efforts for Westshore's transportation improvements, and the anticipated completion of the Alliance's Westshore Transportation Action Plan designed to identify opportunities to improve transportation options and address mobility needs.
- Utilizing data from the Alliance's inaugural District-wide Worker and Resident Survey to analyze stakeholder priorities, identify which issues need to be addressed, and incorporate results into the blueprint for Westshore's continued economic viability.
- Planning for the next generation of Alliance leadership through the new "Explore Westshore" leadership development and board mentorship program, as well as implementing bylaw changes to reduce board, executive committee and office terms from two years to one to allow more members the opportunity to step into future leadership and board positions.
Botsch concluded the program by asking those not already actively involved with the Alliance to learn more and decide how they would like to make a difference in helping to shape Westshore's future.
