2018: Library as Catalyst

We are doing something right. This past year brought you into our library in droves throughout the year. In fact, we averaged 3,200 visitors each week, circulated over 12,000 checkouts of materials every month, and attracted over 400 attendees each month to our diverse educational and cultural programming. Your participation in our "Community Conversations" programs created the library as a platform for outstanding civil dialogue on issues from local politics to the environment, fundraising, downtown development, the opioid crisis, immigration and faith. It is our stated vision to be the catalyst for civic, cultural and academic education and involvement by creating a thinking and gathering place for all. Thank you for helping us continue to make this vision a reality. Happy New Year!

"Baby, it's cold outside!"
During the cold winter months of December to March, the library's Youth Services department is encouraging library members to keep someone warm by making or donating new winter hats, scarves and mittens to those in need. We have hat and scarf looms available to check out for a fun project at home - just add your favorite yarn. When you're finished, we'll collect and then donate those items to a local charity. What a great way to spend a snowy day!
