The mission of Corpus Christi Catholic School is to nurture every child by providing the opportunities to grow in faith, achieve academic success, and serve others as disciples of Jesus.
Cougar Connection
Dear Parents,

As we near the midpoint of our school year, I want to  thank you for entrusting your children to us. On behalf of the faculty and staff, I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas . May this joyous season and your coming year be filled with blessings of His peace.

"Glory to God in the highest
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."
St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School

Please remember to keep the St. Vincent de Paul School community in your prayers, especially those recovering from injuries received during the flash fire that occurred on December 9th. I am touched by the generosity of our own school community.  The response to the requested items needed last week was tremendous, and SVCS was glad to accept our donation of school supplies that were needed. A brownie and hot chocolate sale took place last Friday, and through your generosity and matching gifts from members of our school community, over $2,800 was raised to donate to SVCS.

Wear Christmas Socks tomorrow to support St. Mary's Home
Tuesday, December 19

Students will be able to wear Christmas socks with their school uniform tomorrow for a donation of $1.00. The money raised will be used to purchase Christmas  pajamas for children residing at St. Mary's Home.
Christmas Program/Out of Uniform Wednesday
Wednesday, December 20

Our Christmas program will be Wednesday, December 20 in the Church at 9:30. Students may come out of uniform wearing Christmas colors. After the program, we will have classroom parties followed by a noon dismissal. Please join us!

Ms. Voncille Smith

Our traffic guard, Ms. Voncille, is loved by many, and some may choose  to give her a Christmas gift. However, it may be difficult  or even dangerous for you to try and give her a present while she is on duty. Therefore, there  will be a box in the office to collect her gifts

Health Room Reminders stethoscope_dr_pad.jpg

Please remember these guidelines, as listed in our parent student handbook:

If your child has a fever of 100 degrees or greater, they may not come to school. If they are sent home from school with a fever, they may not return the next day. In order to return to school, students must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medicines.
  • If your child is sent home from school for vomiting, they will not be able to return to school the next day. They must be able to tolerate solid food before returning to school.
  • If your child has a staph infection such as Impetigo, they must have a note from their doctor stating that they are able to return to school.
Thank you for your cooperation. Following these few simple rules helps keep our children happy and healthy during the school year.

Morning Carpool Reminders

Please remember that after 7:30, parents should not pull into the main parking lot of the school. At 7:30, you must go through the carpool line to drop your children off, or you may choose to park behind the rectory and walk with them to school. Students should not be dropped off in any parking lot. This is for the safety of all of our children.

Bible Verse

Each month students learn a Bible verse, and recite it together at school during our morning prayers.  We also pray a particular prayer each month.

Our Bible verse focus for the month of December is  John 13:35:

"By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

The prayer we will focus on is the Glory Be.
