Are you or your parents 55+?

Last week I earned my
SENIORS REAL ESTATE SPECIALIST® SRES®designation.

In the class they said Seniors do not like to be called seniors so..

What do you call, us, 55+ ...if not seniors?
Let me know your thoughts.
I love what I do for a living and am so very lucky to have found the perfect job for me. Each day is different and luckily, we do get the bests clients. Recently we are working with more seniors...maybe because of our age or because there are a great deal of baby boomers now considering downsizing or moving closer to their kids.

Ric and I have always wanted to be the best at helping & protecting our clients make the right decisions for themselves. Senior clients often face both financial and emotional challenges when they sell a long-held family home. We often consult with seniors or their adult children regarding consequences and options that might rise during the transition when selling and downsizing.

My goal in the remaining portion of 2018 is to go out and learn about the different assisted living communities. I already know all the senior developments availabe to purchase. Also, I am putting together a superior team of professionals that can help seniors we already have many such as organizers, handyman, lenders, trust attorneys, insurance agents and more. Looking for: Elder Care Attorneys, Finance for Assisted Living, movers, packers, estates sales professionals. If you know someone that excels in their field in helping seniors I welcome an introduction.

During our training we learned about the different generations. Generational labels are often
cultural, not necessarily chronological.

A person maybe a certain age, however that does not inevitably mean that he/she holds the same worldview, preferences and habits as others in that generation.

Habits and lifestyles are learned and chosen not imposed and required. It is fun to know tendencies of the different generations.

GI Generation -born 1901-1926,
now age 90+ years of age
Silent Generation -born 1927-1945,
now 70-88 years old
Baby Boom Generation -born 1946-1964, now 51-69 years old
Generation X -born 1965-1980,
now 35-50 years old
Generation Y (Millennials)-born 1981-2000, now 15-34 years old
Generation Z -born after 2001
now in their formative years.

If you are interested in learning more about the generations and their tendencies this is an interesting article:
