Every December, the staff, their family and friends, community organizations and the North Denver Optimist Club adopt a needy student and buy them gifts. Report Phishing Attempts with a New Outlook Feature
The Department of Technology Services (DoTS) will be installing a new Outlook toolbar named
PhishAlarm
to Windows computers to help prevent breaches caused by phishing. Team members will be able to use
the
Report Phish
button in Outlook to
report
to DoTS any
emails they suspect are phishing attempts that slipped through DPS' defenses
.
If you receive a suspicious email in Outlook that you think is a phishing attempt, select the message and click the
Report Phish
button. Then, delete the message. DoTS' InfoSecurity staff will investigate the message and take action to protect the DPS network. If you have questions, contact the DoTS Hotline at 720-423-3888.

Your Voice Matters: CollaboRATE is Coming Soon
Starting Jan. 3, make your voice heard and strengthen your team by participating in
CollaboRATE, DPS' annual all-employee survey. This confidential survey is one of the most important tools that you can use to provide your leader, your team and DPS as a whole with feedback that will be used to help Team DPS grow and improve. Strong leaders need strong advice, and with your help they -- and all our teams -- can challenge existing processes in support of positive changes that strengthen our efforts to ensure Every Child Succeeds. "Nicole Bostel on the Transportation team is a true ambassador for students and lives the Shared Core Value of Collaboration. She knows that when we all work together to provide families the most accurate information about our services, students benefit. Nicole led and collaborated with departments, schools and leaders to roll out +Pass. Her passion to ensure each student received their +Pass provided the Transportation team a sense of reward gained from supporting DPS students and families.
As the communications specialist for Transportation, Nicole is a go-to for support and is dependable. She often says: 'I'm surrounded by people whose sole job is to support students. It's empowering to be part of a team that maximizes learning potential regardless of what role they play.' Whether Nicole is answering complaints from customers, leading the culture team or delivering socks to schools, she is consistent and does her job with a smile each day.
