Dear St. Isidore Families,
“The best way to spread CHRISTMAS CHEER is singing loud for all to hear.” Nothing brings on the feeling of Christmas more than seeing children of all ages singing the holiday songs that have been sung for generations. It truly spreads Christmas cheer and is one of the best reminders of why we send our children to St. Isidore School. Our school Christmas Concert will be held Thursday, December 14,
th
at 7p.m. We ask that students arrive to the Cardelli Gym no later than 6:45 p.m. and be dressed in their “Christmas Best” (no jeans, tank tops, etc.). We will have an open dress rehearsal during the day at
1 p.m. for those who would like to attend. The rehearsal is usually less crowded and a great time for grandparents and friends to come and enjoy the show. If your child is unable to attend the show, please email me directly at
mward@stisidore.org
.
Parents, please be respectful as you enter the gym. Many families come early to wait in line to get a seat. Please remember that we are a Catholic school and our behavior models the way for our children to act.
Our annual Sip & Shop event was a holiday hit! It was wonderful to see people enjoying the festive décor, the great shopping, and most of all EACH OTHER. I want to thank the chairs, Alyssa Phillips and Emily Dumitrescu, for all the time and effort they spent to put on this amazing event for our community. It truly was a gift for us all!
On behalf of the Knights of Columbus, I would like to thank all who donated a gift to a child in need. It was heartwarming to see our students so excited about the opportunity to brighten another child’s Christmas. Those gifts, along with boxes of food items, will brighten the holiday for many deserving families.
Our TK/Kindergarten Informational Open House will be held Friday, January 19,
th
at 10 a.m. We need your help spreading the word to neighbors and friends about this event. Word-of-mouth is the number one way new families hear about our school, making you our best marketing tool. The Open House allows prospective parents to see what makes our school so special.
See you tomorrow evening!
Merry Christmas,
Maria Ward, Principal
St. Isidore School

MEET THE ATIENZA FAMILY! Norman, Sherleen & Samantha!
The Atienza family moved from Hayward to San Ramon five years ago. When it came time for Samantha to go to Kindergarten they researched both public and Catholic Schools in the area. Norman and Sherleen, who both attended Catholic school in the Philippines decided they wanted Samantha to also have a Catholic education. They fell in love with St. Isidore's warm environment and loving staff. Samantha is enjoying Kindergarten in Miss Linda's class! Samantha is a busy girl who enjoys swimming, karate and ballet. The Atienza Family appreciates the warm welcome the parents, staff & the Newcomers Group have given them.

Scrip News...
Thank you for your weekly orders, for trying new SCRIP vendors, and for thinking outside of the box for how you can use SCRIP in your routine shopping needs, as well as for gift giving, home projects, entertainment, travel and dining. Stock up on those necessities now like Lunardi’s, Safeway, Whole Foods, Smart N Final and Sprout’s Farmers Market.
Purchase a few Regal & Cinemark cards and set a date for the movies. There is so much to see over the Christmas holiday like Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Coco, Wonder, Thor and Justice League. If you are feeling crunched for time or at a loss with gift giving, solve that dilemma with an Amazon, Target, Itunes or Visa card.
There is a small correction on the Scrip Form this week.
Chevron is NOT available on Scrip
. We mistakenly sent out the wrong version of the form. However, we do have a new Target $50 card that will make a nice Christmas gift for anyone on your shopping list.
This will be the last week that we can take Special Orders so get them in!
Lastly, we are still accepting donations to Soup Kitchen. It's not too late.
Thank you for shopping with Scrip!
Adopt a Family Scrip Request:
Please help support St. Peter Martyr’s Adopt a Family program in Pittsburg by purchasing a gift card with SI Scrip. The form is available in your family envelope until December 13. These gift cards will help a family in need this holiday season. Any size donation is much appreciated. Please contact Maura Piombo-Pacas for questions at 362-1901. Thank you for your support!
