Ladies, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, and Look What You Made Me Do. Congratulations to House of Courage who took home the golden mic trophy!
Special thanks to all of the faculty and staff who participated and helped the kids pick the songs and choreograph routines.

Principal's Message
Happy Holidays!!! The Caddo Middle Magnet Faculty and Staff wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! We have had a very successful first semester of the 2017-2018 school year. Our School Performance Score is 134.1, and we are the top middle school in the state of Louisiana for the second year in a row!!!
CMM Student of the Year: Congratulations to Ashini Modi, she is the CMM Student of the Year!!!
CMM Teacher of the Year: Congratulations to Ms. Eunhee Choi, she is the CMM Teacher of the Year!!! Ms. Choi has also been chosen as a finalist for Caddo Parish Teacher of the Year!!!
CMM PTSA Educator of Distinction: Congratulations to Mrs. Pam Jordan, she is the CMM PTSA Educator of Distinction!!!
Student Council Canned Food Drive: The CMM Student Council raised over 6,000 pounds of food for the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana. We were the first place winner for the Thanksgiving Food Drive!!!
Special Thanks! Caddo Middle Magnet is very fortunate to have so many parents that give each day of their time, talents, and resources. Thanks to parents who joined the Pegasus Society that provided over $24,000 in technology and equipment to our classrooms. Thanks also to all of you who help make our PTA such a supportive organization. We appreciate all of your support that makes Caddo Middle Magnet such a success!!!

Hospitality Committee
On Friday, November 10th, the PTSA Hospitality Committee hosted a luncheon for our CMM faculty and staff. During this season of thankfulness, we are especially thankful for our CMM family and we were delighted to serve our faculty and staff. Chicken and sausage jambalaya, tossed green salad, yeast rolls and brownies were on the menu.
Many thanks to the members of the hospitality committee who cooked, delivered items (all early or on time!) served and cleaned up. Five door prize winners took home some festive fall décor (pumpkins and turkeys) and a great time was had by all.
We will be hosting a Mardi Gras luncheon on
February 13th and an end of the year luncheon on
May 17th, so everyone who would like to help out with one of our luncheons still has two opportunities to do so. Thank you again to our volunteers and our awesome CMM family!

Colonial Days
Colonial Days 2017 was a huge success! We are so thankful for everyone who helped make this festival possible. We managed to dodge the rain and were able to celebrate and enjoy being outside! The students dressed in character, ate lots of food, learned from Artisans and enjoyed the festivities, especially the stockade sponge throw!
We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to:
- Mr. Fox for all his guidance and assistance
- All the 7th grade teachers who painted and set up booths
- The two dads that nailed, repaired and helped with EVERYTHING on that very windy day
- The countless parents who signed up to help work, donate items and run errands
- Our awesome chairmen: Katie Lettau, Kendra Meiki, LeMonica Mason, Kristy Payne, Monica Lawrence, Christy Griffin and Jenni Genovese

 The annual CMM Halloween dance took place October 25th and was a HUGE success!! Kids came dressed to impress and fun was had by all. Thanks to all the parents who helped serve pizza and drinks. I think we enjoyed ourselves as much as the kids!!
The CMM Christmas dance will take place
Wednesday, December 13th from 2:50-4:00 in the gym. Tickets will be sold at the door, as well as pizza and drinks.
Hope to see all of our Stallions there!

6th Grade Parents Lunch
Thanksgiving lunch at CMM is always a treat! 6th grade parents enjoy spending time with their children, and the dressing is pretty good, too!
This lunch would not be possible without extra hands on the serving lines. We are so grateful for the parents who volunteered to serve.

Stallion Showcase
Prospective parents and students filled the auditorium and hallways on
October 1st and 2nd for Stallion Showcase. Showcase began in the auditorium where Mrs. DeBusk spoke to parents about the magnet testing process and the many impressive aspects of CMM.
The students were excited to get to tour the campus and meet some of the 6th grade teachers. A highlight of the tours is seeing current students perform in music classes. Parents were complimentary of our school--the facilities, teachers, and accolades.
